We tried the beef tongue sandwich with crushed green olive, and it was fantastic. The beef tongue was tender and flavorful, and the crushed green olives added a really nice fresh, slightly briny touch that made the sandwich feel unique and well balanced. Every bite tasted fresh and satisfying.
The vibe of the place is great, and the owners are super friendly, which makes the whole experience feel even more welcoming. It’s the kind of spot where you feel comfortable right away. The only downside was the parking, which can be a bit tricky around the area. Still, the great food and warm atmosphere definitely make it worth the visit.

We recently visited this restaurant. The food tasted good and the quality was decent. However, the portion size was really small compared to the price we paid. We felt that the amount of food did not match the cost. Honestly, we did not feel full at all.
The photos don’t clearly show how small the portions actually were. In person, it was very noticeable. For example, koofteh is a dish that is normally eaten with bread, but they charged us separately for the bread. They asked $3.50 for just two very small pieces. Even the bread portion was small, which was surprising.

Food is tasty but portions are super small, i came for beef tounge sandwich, koofte tabrizi and kotlet, they were out of all sandwiches and no kofte either so i got the gheyme, kotlet and ash e joe, i was planning to buy food for a day and a half so i got 3 different foods, the lady up front said she will bring the food outside for me and she didnt show up until i went back inside, food was tasty but i ate all 3 foods all at once, thats how small the portions were, i paid over 50 bucks for the food, no parking spots either, not coming back to be honest

such a cute little neighborhood spot with some great food. the kotlet, olives, shallot yogurt, ash e jo and albaloo spritz are all 10/10 for me.
some menu items could use work, like the potatoes. there were like 2 decently sized pieces of potato, and the rest was basically crumbs. it was like being served the bottom of a bag of potato chips.
Very fresh, tasty, well taught portions, a menu that is not overwhelming yet still very rich and prices were much lower than many other place that has similar concepts. Atmosphere was super friendly and welcoming, the best restaurant I have been in LA so far.

I don’t over visit places. I like to savor what brings me real joy, especially food. But Azizam is different…
What’s surprised me, now that I’m spending more time in this corner of LA, is how consistently delicious Azizam is and how fun and thoughtful the staff always are. I’m so grateful to live nearby and continually impressed by Misha, Cody, and their team for both their talent and kindness. I find myself wanting to gate-keep this place to myself often (which is deeply silly as I’m far from the only one who loves it here…but I guess that is my gratitude speaking).
The ambiance is warm and nurturing, and the owners and staff are always a joy to interact with—kind gestures feel like part of the culture. Recently, Misha brought treats for a friend and me after our meal. My friend is vegan and now just as obsessed. My friend and Misha had connected earlier, and coincidentally, I was having a really rough day, so the gesture meant a lot. (Thank you, Misha).
Finally, during this important moment for Iranians, Azizam feels like a place to show up, eat thoughtfully, and support THE excellence of Los Angeles dining. ❤️
Ah, and here is what we order. The whole point of this…
We love the whole menu but a staple of our meals are the braised Jidori chicken, the eggplant gheimeh, and then I order the sekanjabin spritz to drink. Occasionally we love the tahchin and (whenever they have it) the short rib (loosely called tas kabob) is INSANITY. Insane. I wont ever be the same again. For dessert you really can’t go wrong with any of them but you must at least order one.
Thank you, Misha, Cody, and Azizam team. ❣️

The food was good. Service was fine too, although not much needed since you order at the counter. I recommend if you are looking for this style of food and are in the area.

Wow! This place is a hidden gem in Los Angeles. The spot is relaxed and hip with young friendly staff serving up the most incredible Persian comfort food. Nothing was too heavy, everything was flavorful and seemed to have come straight out a granny’s cookbook in the best way. Tons of vegan and gf stuff too. This is definitely going to be a new spot I show off to people visiting LA, run don’t walk to try it, seriously.
