Incredible food and ambiance! We tried so many amazing dishes and I highly encourage family style so you can try a little of everything. And leave room for dessert and chai at the end, it is worth it!

Nice place to get together with friends and or family and enjoy delicious Indian food. The service is good and the ambiance is cool. We went there on a Sunday for brunch and we had a really good time, there's a DJ on the premises to dance a little if you so desire... Enjoy it my dear

Not indian food.If you don't know what indian food is and want to throw away money go right ahead. No need to reinvent delicious indian cuisine to whatever variation this was. My cousins and I were cracking up thinking who might believe this is good indian food.

As an Indian, my experience at Baar Baar was mixed. The atmosphere was vibrant but the tables were too close to each other, which detracted from the dining experience. While the food was decent, it lacked the authentic flavors I was hoping for and seemed overpriced for what was offered. Overall, I'd rate it a 3/5, as it provided a decent dining experience but fell short in delivering true Indian cuisine.

I organized dinner here for my co-workers here on a Thursday night. The place was comfortably busy. When you walk in the mural on the wall catches your eye. The food was amazing, even for my coworkers who aren't used to Indian cuisine. The dishes that stood out were the Kashmiri Tacos, cauliflower 65, jackfruit biriyani, and the lamb shank roast. The cocktail menu was unique and fun. Each drink was named after a famous Bollywood movie. Would highly recommend this place for a date night or corporate outing.

I came here for Bollywood brunch a couple weeks ago and it did not disappoint! The dj was incredibleeee and it was truly a party. The service was also amazing. Waiter was on point and super friendly. The decor was also great! Beautiful indian vibes and the menu with Bollywood movies for drinks was super cute. Food was unfortunately not as good as expected. We ordered a few things. The chicken tikka masala was great! I really enjoyed it! Probably best thing we ordered. The jalapeño cheese naan was also really good! Simple but delicious. The fish and chips was really not good though. It was a basic fried fish with like a mustard sauce on the side. Really whatever and didn't give me Indian flavors. Also the chips were actual American chips. I was expecting fries bc fish and chips usually means fries but no. The shrimp and grits were also basic. The shrimp was good but the grits were lacking flavor and it just wasn't as great as expected. Much more grits than shrimp too. Finally, we ordered the masala fries which were a major letdown. I expected so much more but it was just regular fries with some spices sprinkled on top. Overall, I'd be back for the Bollywood brunch vibes itself. But I'd probably just order a couple of appetizers and chai as the food was whatever. I don't drink alcohol myself but was told by friends that the drinks were great however!

The food was amazing and so unique. Very different from any other restaurant I've ever been to! The service was also incredible. Everyone was so attentive and helpful. The waiters shared some favorites from the menu and helped guide us in terms of amount of food. We can't wait to come back!

One of the very best Indian restaurants in CA. In addition to wonderful dishes (well suited to sharing) the staff go above and beyond.

This was the find of our LA visit. Went here for dinner 2 times in 3 nights. It he quality of food was rich and delicious. Interesting options too. Great cocktails. Their black daal (side) was so creamy and melt in your mouth! Would highly recommend for families, groups etc. the service was great too! Loved the decor!

If you like Trader Joe's Indian, definitely make a reservation and come to Baar Baar LA. Everything is cliche - the offensively strong masala smell of the restaurant to the staff. The food is pretentious, but nothing spectacular nor memorable. The service is disinterested unless you look like them, and whitesplain the menu, which is insulting. Then, when they bring you the wrong food, they will lie about it and make excuses. Definitely not a great dining experience! And zero recognition or celebration of my actual birthday. This was noted in the OpenTable reservation. My opinion as a native LA Asian Indian, cook at home or go elsewhere. We will not be back and do not recommend it.

This place is almost a first class restaurant, and we're rooting for it. - Decor - very nice, beautiful bar, mural, cocktail menu and ambiance. - Food - overall interesting/good, some dishes hit-or-miss, probably could more guidance on crowd favorites - Service - clearly needs someone who has run a first class restaurant before. 1) menus took forever to arrive. 2) water took forever to arrive. 3) drinks showed up after appetizers. 4) waiter was nice but had a "what can ya do" demeanor as if it's always like this. 5) no guidance that all dishes ordered were spicy despite having children at the table and no mention of spice levels on menu. For a $300+ dinner, everything needs to be tight if you want customers to return. Downtown deserves Baar Baar. Baar Baar just needs to tighten the experience and increase their level of service. -

An authentic Indian restaurant with capturing traditional taste with just the right flavor, aroma and taste without overpowering spices with an innovative and creative touch by the chef to highlight individual ingredients with the right texture and presentation. The ambiance is a perfect balance of east and west combining Indian culture with a touch of classy decor offering perfect amount of lighting. Located in downtown quiet area and well staffed to pay attention to customer needs starting from seating time till the check is paid. The family owned restaurant keeps consistent standards with the presence and involvement of owners. It truly projects the hindi words "Baar Baar" meaning "again and again" feeling in customers to keep coming back.
