Baja Buds is a neighborhood gem, and has been for at least 40 years! Delicious house-made food, the staff is amazing and thoughtful about the food, and the vibes are great. I’m always happy at Baja Buds.
The last surviving location of once many around Los Angeles. I moved to LA from San Diego myself 5 years ago, so this does not taste quite like the Baja Mexican that I am used to, especially black beans and their specific flavors here, but still it’s a solid choice for a good and casual meal. My absolute favorite Mexican spot in all of Los Angeles! Everything here is great from the fajitas, burritos,quesadillas, to simply just their sides of rice and beans, which is my personal favorite. It’s always always my first stop when I come back home, staff here so sweet and lovely. I’m just sad that they closed down their other locations but I hope they will come back soon!
