We tried Bao Dim Sum recently and the meal started off strong. The dumplings were delicious and the spicy wontons had great flavor and heat. The pea sprouts were also a nice surprise and were cooked perfectly. At the beginning of the meal, we really thought we were in for something great.
Once we moved on to the Chinese staples, things took a noticeable dip. The beef chow fun and honey walnut prawns were just alright and didn’t have the same freshness or depth as the starters. It felt like the kitchen nailed the smaller plates but fell short on the classics. The egg tarts at the end were terrible. They were so dry, the egg center was separating from the tart shell when we got them. I could bet they were reheated from frozen.
The biggest disappointment was the duck. It was overcooked, dry and honestly inedible. For a dish that should be a highlight, it ended up being the low point of the entire meal. It really brought down the overall experience for us.
Service was also just okay, which didn’t help. The restaurant wasn’t completely full, but it still felt like the staff was a bit inattentive. With a little more consistency from the kitchen and a boost in service, this place could be great, but our visit definitely missed the mark.

I think the food here is good but I’m
Irritated with how yall don’t advertise your food properly. I ordered a sesame chicken as advertised in this image on their menu. Instead of big chunks of breaded chicken, I got tiny bits of mostly breading with green onions and no chili peppers. The food was good, but this was not what I wanted and not what I ordered.
Also the prices on your menu don’t match what comes on the check. If rice is extra, denote that properly as a separate item. I don’t like feeling like I’m getting tricked or lied to, whether it be the prices on the menu or the amount of meat in an entree.
I love dim sum but this was unfortunately very poor quality food. Chicken tasted off. Bad flavor and texture - like a store bought freezer meal. Could only eat a few bites before I decided to go elsewhere.

A nice atmosphere for over priced Chinese food. I ordered a little of everything, including the lobster. The bill was around $400. Though i was full, at the end of it, i felt as if i ate standard dim-sum. No difference, except the bill.
Definitely wont recommend or go back.

Bao has been a staple “Date Nite” for my husband and me for about a decade now. Thank you for years of great service and delicious food!

The food here is so fun and delicious. There’s something really enjoyable about ordering a bunch of different dumplings and sharing with the table. As a vegetarian, I had plenty of food options. The corn ribs are AMAZING! I’ll be singing about them for days. We will definitely be back soon for more.

I love this place. Best for a light evening meal - although they do serve full entree's the food is fresh and the seaweed salad is amazing . They also have a happy hour ! It was early evening when we went today and it was absolutely wonderful and I had lots of veggies and all of these things are very good for me so I'm very happy
