Came for wine and snacks before a bigger dinner, but I’d love to come back for a full meal because what we had was so good. Highly recommend the Caesar tartare (perfect crunch to the bread, plus it is pre-cut into bite size chunks) and lobster rilette.

Cute vibe inside with center bar and cozy dining room seating.

Had driven by this place a few times, and finally tried it in Feb of 2026. We had the bub and grandma's bread with cultured butter which was delicious, bub and grandma's never disappoints. The chicken liver, polenta and garden chicory salad. The standout was the chicory salad, it was all things you need for a good salad tangy dressing, tender leaves, creamy yogurt, and crunchy roasted buckwheat (sobacha pangrattato). Will definitely be going back for that to relive the magic. Service was friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere was bustling inside and chill outside.

First off… parking is street parking. So you find a meter, get a neighborhood spot, or try that BofA. Took me a solid fifteen to find a meter, and this was around 8:30 PM.

Once you’ve found parking, you’ll enter a beautiful designed space. It just felt right. Not too loud. Not too bright. Just right. I sat at the bar and was able to have a full conversation without yelling to my two fellow patrons.

I was on a slight diet so I can’t say I had a bad assortment to sample, but I had…

Gin Martini with a twist. It was done extremely well. Perfectly balanced, you’d think Thanos was behind the bar.

They did run out of steam, which was disappointing, but did have the Rotisserie Chicken which did not disappoint. I wish I could have bare handed it, but used the cutlery as this is not that kind of spot. The chicken was perfect. Moist and juicy each bite almost hugged your tongue. The mouth feel was silky and smooth. When you smacked your lips its flavor lingered. The side of veggies had a pleasant crunchy topping that helped give such a contrast of textures.

To finish we had this chocolate tart like item. It was dense, rich, and sweet (but not too sweet).

They also produce their own strawberry gummy that comes with your check. 10/10.

Great food and great bartender.

i never write reviews for restaurants but i just had to for this one because I hope no one else wastes their money here. The food was the worst I’ve had in LA. Service was very bad too. Pretty restaurant but go if you want to ruin your night with bad food

What a gem to find in the middle of Hollywood. The food is absolutely delicious. Tiny plates but totally filled me up. Decent bar. Very friendly. Now a little staff servers. This place will blow up and about 3 months and you won't get a table so come try it now.

Bar Etoile was A great experience we had dinner at the bar that im definitely begining to be a fan of you feel a bit more involved somehow and well you can get drinks faster as well if thats your thing and we'll its definitely mine. The atmosphere was fun but not loud, with a good elevated vibe. The central bar is a nice touch thoughtfully designed rather than overly expansive, with a limited cocktail selection aparrntly but a nice little coctail menu that felt well curated. The bartender was attentive and genuinely helpful, offering great menu and wine recommendations.
The food was exciting and well executed. The menu works perfectly for sharing, making it easy to order several small plates and experience a range of flavors. Every dish felt intentional and memorable with strong roots in classical French but not restrained by it. I will definitely return and definitely sit at the bar again and try everything else on the menu.

We had a delicious meal tonight. Drinks were great! Started with the Cheese Tart which was tasty, followed by the Yao Chen Yams which were delicious. We shared the Pork Chop au Poivre. Pork Chop was cooked perfectly, and I was tempted to lick the sauce off the plate! The room is well decorated and comfortable. Next time I will reserved one of the cozy booths. Service was professional. Great selection of wine. Our meal was 5 star from start to finish. I highly recommend dining at Bar Etoile.

Great spot with creative offerings and an incredible wine list. Service was very welcoming and friendly and they were very accommodating when we got stuck in traffic and we were a little late for our reservation. My only critique would be they would benefit from serving coffee cocktails for dessert. There was a fancy espresso machine, and all the ingredients to make an espresso martini, but when we asked about one for dessert they said they’re more wine focused, which made sense and I’m a wine nerd myself, but half the bar was drinking regular martinis which was a little confusing.
