What a downtown hotspot should be. Great drinks, good food, and a fabulous job of recreating the LA downtown scene.

I stayed her last year and bar was great. But now the bartender was terrible.

Bartender literally was sneezing in his arms and then made my friend’s margarita. Didn’t even tell me there was an included 20%. This guy was disgusting. Felt like a dive bar with DTLA prices.

What a joke of service.

The host put us on the waiting list with multiple empty tables that we could see saying it was a 30 minute wait. We walk away and he calls us back five minutes later that a table opened. I didn’t have my ID, although I clearly look 26 and had a passport photo refused to serve me. Very weird vibe. Don’t go.

Primarily we've gone to the bar. Drinks are a bit pricy, but it's DTLA. The happy hour has good value. All that said, the drinks are excellent and well made. The service is very good.

Great cocktails, the ambience is perfect for a local spot! Want to give it more stars but several times in a row they closed the bar down early AND I was bringing guests to show it off. Stopped coming as to not risk it (which is unfortunate as a live across the street!). Pet peeve of mine when bars do this. Some of us depend on your Google times!!

If you want to pay alot, with mediocre service, over priced drinks, and waking up at 7 am to banging pots pans buckets of their own hotel staff protesting out side your window. Then stay here. Never again for us.

I've looked into staying at this hotel in the past, but never had the chance. I attended a conference at the LA Convention center, which was within an easy 10 minute walking distance. The rooms were extremely clean, comfortable, and quiet. I loved the restaurants and staff! The recent renovations give it that historical charm that it deserves, considering it's wonderful, rich history. The seating areas and restaurants are very comfortable and have a wonderful chill vibe. I will definitely stay here again if I have the chance! Thanks for a great stay!

The good and the bad news. First the Good news: The hotel is well maintained for a hotel that is almost 100 years old. Nice vibe. The Manager, Mauricio, was very accommodating under the circumstances. Staff were generally pleasant. Now the bad: This was not the Hotel Fig's problem but of course it affected our stay - the hotel workers strike. Banging drums and blowing horns at 5:00 a.m. each morning and most of the day, I am pretty sure, violates the LA noise ordinances. Needless to say, it did affect our stay. A tough pill to swallow when you're paying $500/night. Mauricio did apologize and did comp our meals, parking and cocktails as remuneration. The other bad was their bartender told me they did not have the wine we wanted on the list but they did have a similar one for the same price - I got the drink bill and it was almost double; bad move. Would we return? Maybe.

Highly recommend this friendly hotel at an excellent location downtown LA. The rooms are functional and well equipped with a nice view. The staff are very helpful and attentive. All we asked for was handled in a very efficient manner. We liked the pool and the poolside a lot.

My husband and I are locals, but we wanted to have a little staycation to celebrate our 10-year anniversary. Hotel Figueroa was even more perfect than I could have imagined. The bed was big and cozy, the bathroom was roomy, and we loved the rain shower. After checking in, we went for a quick walk over to Bottega Louie for lemonade and a pastry. This was where we had breakfast with our family the morning after our wedding. On the way we passed the Morton's where we had our rehearsal dinner, and we had a view of the USC building where we had our wedding up in the glass-encased penthouse. When we got back to the hotel, we took a short nap and then headed downstairs to Sparrow for dinner. We loved it so much that I can't wait to take friends here. The food was so good, and although the portions are small, they're incredibly filling. The drinks are what really makes this a destination. There was a whole performance that went into the presentation of each cocktail! The 12pm check out was much appreciated. As parents, we never get to sleep in, so we relished every minute of that quiet time. My only complaint is regarding the pillows which are extra thick and firm. I feel like a man who is a side sleeper would love them, but for me, they caused terrible neck strain. I ended up grabbing one of the neck pillows from the couch and using that for a while, then giving up and just sleeping on my back with no pillow.

My husband and I stayed for 2 comfort-filled nights at this beautiful downtown hotel. The staff did its utmost to make us feel comfortable despite the strike-related noise outside the hotel. We had a beautiful, quiet room and daily housekeeping. The rooms are filled with unique pieces of furniture and art work. The hotel lobby, sitting areas, and restaurant premises offer lovely extra spaces for retreat. And the pool area is a wonderful place to unwind, with good music. People who deserve credit for our pleasant stay: Eduardo, Maurizio, and Frank (poolside). Highly recommended.

My wife and I have had two children in the last two years, and we've missed celebrating our last two anniversaries. So Hotel Figueroa was our home base for our much belated anniversary getaway/Taylor Swift Eras Tour experience. This boutique hotel is a flawless combination of history and comfort. Built in the 1920s, it's now a Hyatt property, which gave us the opportunity to use our WOH points. At 20, 000 points per night, this has to be the best value in Los Angeles. Our Explorist status earned us an upgrade to a King Room on the 10th floor with a view of DTLA and beyond, including the Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood sign in the distance. The room was on the smaller side, but well renovated and tastefully decorated. The staff is five star all around, from the valet crew to the front desk to the housekeeping team. They really elevated our stay. Parking is pricey at $49/night plus tax, but the valet is so convenient and we had peace knowing our car was secure during our stay. Breakfast at the Cafe Fig was wonderful. Try the pancakes. They were some of the best pancakes I've ever had. You can't beat the location, convenience, or cool factor of Hotel Figueroa. We won't hesitate to stay here again for our next LA getaway.

Hotel Figueroa is great to visit for drinks and food. But I would not recommend to stay here. The walls are very thin and you can hear your next door neighbors as if they were inside your room! The lobby is nice and the people that work there are very nice and helpful too.
