Bar tender tipped herself almost 20 without my consent ! Found this cute place and went upstairs to find it completely renovated . The atmosphere was very cute it was clean . My issue with this place was the bartenders they weren’t very friendly were only interacting with their regulars didn’t make us feel welcomed didn’t suggest any drinks basically were like order and go so they can keep talking to the people they had sitting infront of them . when I closed out I didn’t tip on the card I put a slash wrote just the total of my bill and left cash on the table instead and wrote cash . Now tell me why the bartender charged her own tip on my card she tipped herself I was astonished when I saw my bank statement . I left a cash tip so she didn’t think it was info so she tipped her self for pouring daft beer and 1 drink she made . The cups weren’t cold and she didn’t bring us the drinks or even engage with us we left after the first round of drinks due to feeling uncomfortable it gives racist culture vultures vibes as we were leaving some white people came and they greeted them and everything were real nice to them.

Was really excited to check this place out, even though I had been warned by other POC friends that they had been ignored or received horrible service from the bartenders. It’s kind of ironic for a place with a Spanish name to not be POC friendly. While patiently, waiting for a drink, The bartender looked at me and ignored me multiple times even though I was standing there in his direct view making eye contact. It was so awkward I thought of leaving when a blonde woman arrived and was immediately served after standing right next to me and another gentleman and his partner also waiting to be served also being ignored also POCs. When we were finally served it was very short and rude he took mine and the other guests order even tho we were not together and I watched him mix one shot into three margaritas. So on top of the micro aggression we were served an all juice cocktail. So while it’s a cute bar sadly the rumors are true be warned that if you don’t meet their aesthetic you will receive bad service.
One of my new favorite bars in LA!! Came here after attempting to eat quarter sheets pizza, and it did not disappoint. Bartender was friendly and great at memorizing orders. Ambiance was friendly and warm all around. Loved that their drinks are different, with latin influences which fit the atmosphere. These people deserved their spot in the top 22 best bars in LA

The security boys outside were so mean and disrespectful for no reason. We had a beer in our bag and they just confiscated it from us, which was understandable, but then they didn’t let us in, which was unreasonable. So what’s the point of that? ABUSE OF POWER
