Great Sushi Place. We sat outdoor around the fire pit. Service was great. Sushis were the most fresh ones I ever had. Definitely worth the price. Highly recommended.

More than what we expected, everything was superb, went with family for the evening, sat beside the fire and my meal was more than delicious the Bento Box had much more than any other place we've ever been. Great experience.

We order Sashimi, unagi sushi, and Uni Pasta, fish is not super fresh and there’s fish bone in it; The pasta is barely boiled, pretty hard to chew.
If you are looking for a place to grab good, authentic Japanese food with great service and an original Sawtelle vibe, then Hayama is the place to be. Sit at the sushi bar with a 生ビール at your side and enjoy a great meal to cap off your day!

Great restaurant with nice setting. Service was friendly and food was good. Sushi was very fresh and cold food was good. Would recommend!
Horrible customer service. I just called and they said that they could seat us and then we showed up at 8:50 to order JUST edamame and the lady kicked us out and said they were closed. Very upset. Don’t go there late :/
Outstanding sushi experience. And a GREAT fire pit!
Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, BYO drinks - the perfect place to spend an evening! Can't wait to come back and bring our friends!

The food was amazing and the customer service was great. I brought acquaintances that didn't understand a lot of the food terms and one didn't know how to use chopsticks. They patiently explained everything and we had a great time.
BEST SUSHI EVER ❤️

I really wanted to like it given they have a very cute patio with a fire place and a byob. Unfortunately part of the order was not fresh - every item with salmon tasted stale. I liked every item with toro. So feels like hit and miss. Plenty of spots in the area that didn’t have a miss so far so I will unlikely to come back
We enjoyed the outside fire pit area. The sushi and sashimi were high quality and worth the price. Similar to Hide sushi down the street, but we appreciated that Hayama takes debit and credit cards, so this is our new favorite sushi spot for top quality sushi. Hayama does not serve alcohol but you can bring your own.
Always very high-quality food, and the patio ambiance with the fireplace is just lovely.
