Our server Brennan was fantastic tonight and made our experience really special. He helped us with the menu and gave great recommendations. All other staff were helpful and welcoming. Food was delicious too. We really enjoyed our time here.

First time dining here yesterday after seeing a movie. We wanted a quiet place to chat and eat/drink away from the hustle and bustle of the other restaurants at the Grove, and Bar Verde was perfect. We reserved an outdoor table and it was perfect for talking and people-watching while eating. Our server was very nice and friendly, not overly attentive and completely respectful when we weren't ready to order yet. We ordered the artichoke and spinach dip, salmon nicoise salad, fish and chips, and the special Salmon Miso on coconut rice (available until Nov. 1, in honor of LatinX/Hispanic Heritage). Everything was very good, well-seasoned and the correct temperature. The salmon filets weren't very big but they were well-cooked, and the quantity was enough. Drinks were strong and tasty. As an added plus, they have 6 oz and 9 oz pours for glasses of wine. All in all, Bar Verde was a great restaurant and we will go back the next time we are at the Grove. Nothing against the other restaurants, most of which we have eaten at, but the serenity and ambience of Bar Verde can't be beat.

I love the Nordstrom burger with the fries and olive aioli for dipping, so I rarely veer away from this menu item. I often order this dish at many of the Nordstrom cafe's. This is my first time at Bar Verde at the Grove and I have to say this Nordstrom restaurant is my favorite so far. Really enjoyed the summer vibe out on the balcony. Other dishes enjoyed at the table were the veggie frittata, margherita flatbread, and fish & chips. Server was very friendly and attentive. The cocktails were yummy too! Prices were decent given the location. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I would absolutely come back.

This was a surprise. A nice restaurant with a fantastic view. Food is great. Service was a little slow (for breakfast) probably because there weren't enough servers. Prices were okay. I'm planning to go back because it's a fantastic way to start a day of shopping, and it's a great way to enjoy California weather. Recommend.

Our server Jane and Rosa were extremely pleasant, service was impeccable! And food!! I did not except such quality food from Nordstrom restaurant but everything was so delish! Steak was so juicy, soft and yummy, nicoise salad sauce was wonderful! Dessert were yummy! I mean everything was 10/10! View from their roof on The Grove is amazing! I will be back pretty soon! Thank you!

Got right in with our reservation. We had an older person with us. Our table was in an area where we could actually talk and hear each other which was important. Food was excellent. We sat inside. Very enjoyable. Perfect!

Carina is always great when my family and i visit. As a frequent bar verde visitor, the restaurant manager always provides the best customer service and attitude making us feel welcomed and taken care of. She checks up on us to make sure everything is good (when the food is always 10/10) and i really appreciate that. Definitely a staple restaurant for me

My favorite place to go for Happy hour! It's definitely a hidden gem in The Grove, $10 cocktails during happy hour??? How can you beat that in L.A.

My go-to spot before a movie at the Grove. Drinks are great, and in addition to their craft cocktails, they have a nice mocktail selection. Food is decent, not spectacular. Even if the Grove is crowded, you can mostly find a spot here. Limited hours- they close at 8 pm.

Literally every location I’ve been to is just incredible. Great upscale vibe. Delicious food. Incredible drinks. Wonderful monthly food selections.

The only thing lagging on this particular visit was the slow service. Which, in understanding clientele … that’s not always a bad thing, but I had come in to wait for a friend so we could enjoy lunch. I sat at the bar ordered a couple of beverages and waited for my friend to arrive. The bartender was on it. Prompt service, friendly, no wait. Closed me out as soon as requested.

Once my friend had arrived we were sat out on the patio and it took quite some time for a server to get over to us. We frequently had to ask for simple things like menus, condiments, beverage refills, and as I mentioned service overall just felt slow. We asked everyone else but our waiter for necessities and then the check. (We just assumed she was busy elsewhere.)

We will still probably frequent here as the food is delicious but I think reading the table can be helpful!

Kid-friendliness: Definitely family friendly as each kid gets fruit with their entrees, there are high chairs, and children’s menus.
