One of the best drip coffee!
More like 4.5 :-) There are actually two Barista Societies in Downtown LA that I know of. Another one is in the US Bank Tower and that's the one I usually go to. The coffee is excellent! I usually get a dirty chai or a iced mocha... The coffee is smooth and not bitter, definitely more premium.
The mocha is so freaking good!!! And the barista was really nice.
Barista society is a good place to get coffee. I give them a lower rating because they aren't consistent I would say. I got an amazing machiatto there and the next time it was not very good. Especially for how pricey they are. Also their customer service isn't consistent either. There are people I like and people that I wont go if they are there.
Very good coffee, go here don't go to Starbucks.
Barista Society's coffees and teas are fine, and staff members are nice. However, since I looked for a place to use a laptop, this store is not good for that purpose. Someone mentioned a Wi-Fi, but it was not working when I went there, and the store was not spacious to work.
They have good pour overs.
Tried a few things here, but you have to try the Gibraltar, its not on the menu but fantastic preparation. Tried the Kyoto as well, wasn't a fan of that.
Good coffee by they charge $4.50 for one Costco muffin. Never again.
Got great cappuccino! Will come back! :)

The Service: Friendly and efficient. Right in the Union Station (near Metro Customer Service counters). Not a restaurant, no seating area.
