The short rib was delightful — the spicy olive oil was a great addition. Nice ambiance, a great addition for the area. You can bring your own wine or enjoy a non-alcoholic refreshment.

Incredible atmosphere, excellent service. We sat at the window bar looking out into the street and it felt so inviting and wholesome. An experience I feel is rare among LA restaurants. The caprese was amazing, deliciously simple and decadent, and with the pesto on top . I had the mushroom carbonara and my wife had the caccio e pepe, both of which I can reccomend wholeheartedly. I had heard about Barrio from "Good Food" on KCRW, but was slow to try it (we live in neighboring Boyle Heights). The food was terrific; we had the pasta al limone, caeser salad, and the di Spessore Spaghetto al Pesto. All in all, wonderful. Good price point for the food, too. Make the trip to City Terrace and get a bottle of wine from Abe's Market across the street to go with dinner.
