I had the breakfast burrito with chicken, so darn yummy! I’m definitely going back to try other items on the menu.

Nice service and food, but when the owner is not here, the staff is lazy to take the chairs, table and umbrella out. This is what we enjoy most; sitting outside and enjoying the sun and DTLA. There is always an excuse, but I’m confident it’s laziness.

The brunch here was so good! Everything was tasty and the vibe was really nice. Especially, I really loved the COFFEE, even though it was just Iced-Americano., but much better than Branded coffee , taste perfect and can't express the taste in writing!!
Definitely coming back!

Severely overpriced. Paid 6$ for a mediocre, plain croissant and they didn't even have a plate to put it on. There's something very wrong with this country.

Although I liked the concept and variety of the available food on the menu, the taste of the avocado turkey sandwich that I bought the other day was not for me. The egg inside the sandwich was overcooked—it almost tasted burnt. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to complain in person as I had to rush to my taxi, but I have a feeling the staff would fix it.

At first I was a bit hesitant walking in since it was empty. I ordered the Chorizo breakfast burrito and a cappuccino. We walked about 20 minutes to get here, and it was absolutely worth it. This was some of the best breakfast I’ve had in LA and the price was unbeatable. We arrived just in time because the place was packed by the time we finished.

Went to Basil and Cheese Cafe after looking to see what coffee shop had good reviews nearby. Initially, we were only going for coffee but ended up getting food too and I’m glad we made that decision. We ended up getting the honey vanilla latte (cold), bacon breakfast burrito with a chipotle aioli and tots on the side. The burrito was amazing. I had a couple breakfast burritos on my trip to LA and this was by far my favourite and I would go back just for it. The aioli and salsa really added to it and the tater tots inside the burrito provided a great crunch. Even though the drink is a crowd favourite, I thought it was just okay. Next time, I’ll just get a regular iced latte. Will definitely be back for the burrito!

The breakfast burrito is to devour. Love the texture and the crunch you get when biting into the hash brown inside. A bit oily but very well served and rich in flavor. You could say it's a bit salty but complimentary and with the side of sauce they give you, extra points for that.

If you’re searching for a great café downtown, look no further than Basil & Cheese Cafe. The matcha latte is a must-try—delightfully creamy with a deep matcha flavor. Every staff member I met was genuinely friendly and offered fantastic service. The café’s bright ambiance made it feel lively and comfortable. On top of the drinks, the food was also mouthwateringly good. I’ll definitely be coming back!
