Love the Tofu Stew meal set. If you like fish, the fish that come with the meal is a perfect compliment. I wished they didn't ruin the rice that stuck to the bottom of the stone pot by pouring water into it. I needed that rice to finish that tasty stew.

I love the food they have also they are very fast and friendly and you do not have top wait all day but the place and the surroundings ... I goddamn hate it and I hope they think of correcting that as well.

So delicious. Making the nurungi was so nice and warm and nostalgic. Ordered a combo bibimbap and tofu soup and the bibimbap arrived when I was already done with the tofu but it was busy so i understand. Food was so good i felt like transported back to korea. wow

The manager, Alejandro, accused me of lying about my disability. I am visibly disabled. He then began shouting in Spanish with Sergio. When I asked to speak to another manager, Kyung Mi Yi, she was shouting at me as well and smirking at me being handicapped. We have spent several nights a week eating here for years and will no longer come here. I didn’t even complain the last time I saw one of the staff sticking their finger in the rice bowls.

My husband nicely asked to park quickly to help me, since I am unable to walk and was down the block. They refused. Stated it was “policy.” The waiters literally recognize us there. This place is despicable. Shame on you BCD! You’ll never see a single cent from us ever again.

Wheelchair accessibility: Incredibly inaccessible. I do not recommend this place.

Delicious. Just delicious. Tried spicy marinated raw crab for the first time and oh my goodness I'm in love. Wasn't too spicy, and I don't even eat spicy food much. We waited about half an hour for a late lunch, but it was worth it. We went back another time after a concert and there was no wait.

“Am I the only one who doesn’t like it?”

It is true that Korean food in LA is more delicious than in other parts of the United States, but in some cases it is not. In the case of BCD, it was a very disappointing place for me compared to its popularity.

#Memories of Bukchang-dong soft tofu
One of the most popular Korean restaurant formats in the U.S. is the soft tofu restaurant. Of course, soft tofu is the main focus, but of course there are a variety of Korean dishes such as ribs, bulgogi, etc. Bukchang-dong Soft Tofu, which is headquartered in LA, also began to gain popularity about 20 years ago. I remember that due to its popularity, many similar soft tofu restaurants opened around LA (there were also excellent soft tofu restaurants near La Canada, where I used to live). I remember it happening).
When I visited LA again about 10 years later, Bukchang-dong Soft Tofu was franchised under the name ‘BCD Tofu House’ and became a mid-sized restaurant company that opened more than 10 branches across the United States. In particular, its expansion is so great that it is considered a leading brand that has been re-exported to Korea.

The day I visited happened to coincide with a funeral meal reception, so there were a lot of customers, and I was able to enter after waiting for about 45 minutes. The vast hall was filled with many customers, and more than 30% of them were foreigners, which shows that the popularity and awareness of Korean food has increased significantly.

#soft tofu
Basically, soft tofu is tasteless. (A typical example of incorrect use of seasoning) If you do not add emotional seasoning, it will have an ambiguous taste that is far from the delicious soft tofu eaten in Korea. Moreover, the raw egg I put in as soon as I received it was barely cooked. Still, it is a menu that can soothe your stomach with its spicy flavor and soft soft tofu.

#rice
It is a system where rice is cooked in a stone pot and served right away. The pot rice guy carries the pot rice on a cart and distributes it. We presumed that it was steamed while carrying it on the cart, but the rice we received was undercooked and not even steamed. With this level of perfection, there is no reason to serve stone pot rice. It seems that the store's rice quality control is not working well (out of the 4 rice I received, 3 were undercooked).

#bulgogi #galbi
The meat is tough, the ribs are sweet, and the bulgogi is average.
It may be appealing to foreigners, but it was very disappointing to me.

#Pork bulgogi #Kimchi dumplings #Spicy menu
Spicy menu items like pork ribs and kimchi dumplings are the worst. The kimchi dumplings, which require a balance of spicy and light flavors, and the pork bulgogi, which requires a good balance of spicy and lard, both have capsaicin as the source of their spiciness, and there was no depth of flavor, so I could only take one bite.

#side dish
The side dishes were very delicious and plentiful. The cucumbers were perfect and the small fried croakers were great as an appetizer. The salted squid served on a bed of cabbage was a hit. Perhaps that's why cucumbers and salted seafood are sold separately.
If the other menu items were delicious, I would have bought the side dishes separately.

The overall appearance is massive and the taste of the food is less than expected. Although I am very disappointed with the rice, the taste quality of the menu items is at a level that can be used only in the United States.

It was nice to have delicious Korean food.
The staff are kind and the price is a little higher than that of Korea, but I think it's the right price to taste delicious Korean food abroad.

It was nice to be able to eat delicious Korean food.
The staff are friendly and the prices are a bit more expensive than in Korea, but I think it's an appropriate price for being able to taste delicious Korean food in a foreign country.

The main and side dishes were outstanding, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The tofu was incredibly delicious, just as the restaurant’s name promises. They also offer a kids’ menu, and I’ve never seen my kiddo finish a bowl of tofu and meat soup so quickly!

Soft tofu contains just the following: seasoning, soft tofu, and meat. The fish tasted like dry, fried fish, so I passed. It was chilly, but the hot Sungnyung was a work of art. Kimchi is refilled. Like other people have said, I should have eaten meat... Don't regret coming here like I did, and it wouldn't be a bad idea to try the combo menu. Please note that all leftover food is packaged.

Server was so rude. We asked for water. She was yelling something. They never came to ask if everything’s ok or so. All the servers looked mad and tired with an attitude like we are pleased them to work.
