This used to be a really good place to go to. I don't know what happened to it. This is the second time I go that they don't have enough puffs and they don't fill them up like they used to. This last time, the puffs barely had any filling. For $40 I expect they had enough filling to be able to taste it. Verry disappointed, and very sad that this used to be my favorite place to go, and now I won't be going back at all

Always so good. You have to eat them right then and there because they deflate, but if you like custard then this is the place.

This place is hard to find the first time you come here. It’s located inside the shopping plaza on the first floor. I recommend parking in the parking structure right by it and walking over as street parking is very limited. Mouthwatering Pastry Puffs!!! I couldn’t get enough of them. The Original, Strawberry and Eclairs Puff are my favorites but all of them are really great! Staff could be nicer but I just get my Puffs and go. Don’t forget to validate your parking ticket for free or else you will have to pay for parking in the parking structure. Totally worth the trip to get these Puffs!!!

These cream puffs are the best! I was first introduced to Beard Papa in San Francisco when I lived there, that location closed down. So I moved to LA just for these cream puffs! J/k but I'm really glad the ones in LA are still open. I really wish they bring back the chocolate shells cause those were beyond amazing. They do however still make the chocolate filling though and I have yet to try their green tea and tiramisu cream ones.

I actually didnt know what a cream puff was and the guy working there was pretty rude (he was very overwhelmed), but they are DELICIOUS and heres the low down of beard papas:1. All cream puffs (regardless if you get original or a specialty) are filled with a cool, whipped custard of your choosing2. Original cream puffs have no sweet flavoring on top. They are just the bread pastry with some confection powder on top (and filling)3. Or you can get specialty flavors and theyll put some kind of icing on top of the ‘original’. Again, you will still fill it with a custard.I got the originals filled with vanilla and green tea. These desserts are not too sweet (which i love), and actually a bit refreshing bc the whip tastes cool. SOOO YUMMMY ?

- Hours are not updated on Yelp even though it states "Hours updated a few days ago". - Arrived at 9:35PM and Yelp states closing time as 10:00PM but workers had blocked off the entrance. - Made eye contact with 2 workers inside but no explanation provided.

It’s a vibe, great customer service and even better desserts. 11/10 would recommend

I would always see Beard Papa in Irvine whenever I went to get bubble tea from Orobae or was shopping at Mitsuwa or Daiso. (Never stopped by to take a look though.) When my friend and I were spending time in Little Tokyo before KCON, she spotted this one inside the same mall as Daiso and the Little Tokyo Market. She was surprised I have never tried it before and said we definitely needed to change that. This is on the first floor of the mall near the K-pop cafe. The mall has a structure but you can also find street parking. (Which my friend and I did - we chose a spot on the street that was between the places we wanted to walk to.)When we went in, it wasn't busy and they had some of their items but not the full assortment. When we asked about certain types of cream puffs, they apologized and explained that anything they had out at the moment was all they had. (Save for the original cream puff.) They didn't have chocolate or the honey flavors, which was a little disappointing. My friend thinks the chain has been trying to avoid throwing out excess food at the end of the day, but I was surprised two core flavors weren't available for purchase. I did go with the green tea one and my friend settled on an original. They filled the two puffs up on the spot and dusted the original with powdered sugar before packing them up for us. Prices weren't too bad, maybe a little higher because we were in LA? The green tea had a subtle green tea flavor and the pastry was soft and flaky. Cream was not overly sweet and they were generous with the amount they placed inside the puff. My friend liked hers and enjoyed it after KCON. I would consider stopping by the one closer to home if I wanted to try one of their other varieties. As for this location, it was not bad. Staff were polite but I think some of the workers were maybe starting to fade by the time we came in.

We were exploring around Little Tokyo and stumbled on Beard Papa's and figured a pastry would be good to try. There were quite a few good looking/sounding options on the menu. The staff was friendly enough when we ordered, but we were underwhelmed by the quality of the pastry, and relieved that we hadn't ordered more. We got the cookie puff with hopes that it would be good, but it was rather dry and the flavors were bland. The creme was the best part, but it wasn't balanced with the taste of the dried out pastry. It may have been an older batch, since we were there in the afternoon, but we hope that the quality is better at any other given time.

One of the last few shops I've seen around. My local Beard Papa closed in Arcadia so I was very relieved to come back to this one! I love that fill their cream puffs right in front of you and it always taste very fresh. I hadn't been to this one in a very long time. The mall has been on a bit of a decline and the beard papas seems to have been affected by it too. The shop is pretty dim lit, they were out of ice cream and the tables out front were not clean. Nevertheless, the cashier was still very friendly while running the shop solo, the product was just as tasty as I remember and we had a nice quiet time outside in front. Parking is only a few dollars at the parking lot that is attached just behind the building. If you can't find any it is free on the streets after a certain hour.

Best crème puffs ever! The original ones are always the best to go for, they aren’t to sweet and are yummy. My wife and I tried the strawberry and green tea exteriors they were delicious but honestly a bit to sweet for us. But I’m sure regardless a sweet tooth person would love the flavored exteriors. Also the ladies that helped me with my order were so nice and so was the owner, very nice lad!
