Best Fish Tacos in Ensenada

I wanted to love this place with its charming design and small-owned feel. Can't shake the impression that this was once a great place that has stagnated with no no ideas or improvements in a decade. I am a fan of the restricted menu offerings, but it should make having a physical menu at checkout that much easier to accomplish. Instead, you have to fumble through printed cards or ask the server for the options. The toppings area has a charming design, but with large open bowls of salsa and cream bottles, undated, sitting in water that was presumably ice at some point, the food sanitation of that area does not instill confidence. I did, in fact, become inexplicably nauseous at the end of my t my friend who had everything but the same crema sauce I used felt fine. Could have been me, it could have been the sauce. - 1 star service for the lack of a menu (the server herself was a very kind highschooler) and - 2 stars for the sanitation/nausea concern and because the options they provided are basic, with no unique recipes. There a few places I've seen that would benefit more from a management change.

Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible. No accessible parking, difficult entrances, and very few tables with pull away chairs.

Very cool. Great Baja style fish tacos at reasonable prices, good music and nice atmosphere sitting outside....no beer, but good food.

3 Types of tacos, potato, fish and shrimp. Good base ingredients, fish and shrimp taste very fresh.

You have to kind of choose the toppings, but maybe it'd be better with a bit of direction. I don't know what goes with what. 😆🤷‍♂️

They only had Jamaica agua fresca when I went, but it was decent.

Was a bit quiet when I went, but maybe it's more popular in Summer.

Coming from a Mexican that eats seafood all the time... this was a LET DOWN. Please ignore the other reviews because when I tell you the oil was so black and old... I got fish tacos and the batter was dark brown from the old oil. The best deep fried fish tacos should always be CRUNCHY on the outside and soft on the inside... these were just soggy and soft. Tortilla was like any other store bought tortilla. The toppings were alright, they were self-serve. Including 3 different salsas and they had crema and very watery chipotle sauce (nothing that really stood out) . Probably the worst tacos ever, the toppings were better than the taco itself :/ I was so excited to eat here... but everyone needs to learn what good tacos are and this is NOT IT.

Edit: I would like to add that they had only ONE employee taking orders AND cooking the food. NO LIMES EITHER (which is ESSENTIAL for fish tacos‍).
