This place is so epic, and the guys working there last night were real gentlemen. Should have caught their names. It's not often you walk into a fast food joint just an hour before closing only to encounter a few guys working there who are actually passionate about the food in a real way and want to engage with us as they did. They were crackin jokes, makin people smile, and stirring up some bangin eats. The food here is exactly what it looks like. Old school burger joint...
Glad to see this LA classic still standing after all these years. I used to go here for late night double chili cheeseburgers in the 80s. The food was always delicious. 40 years later I went back, and everything was just as I remembered it - great burger with a nice thick tomato and the chili and cheese on the double chili cheese burger and chili cheese fries blended together perfectly. Everything hit the spot! Thanks Big Tomy’s. (Sad to see Kelbo’s across the street is gone).
Great service. Just wanted a grilled cheese and fries. I was surprised when they asked me what kind of bread I wanted. Didn't see an option to add bacon so I just went with the basic.
Grilled cheese was good but lacked a bit of buttery flavor you expect from the grill. The fries were so fresh they burnt my hands. They were excellent but I had to pair it with some no name ketchup that wasn't very good
