It is NO longer called Birdies. However, it is still a cute little café with excellent service, good tasting coffee, and soft fluffy donuts. As we were leaving, it did start to get a little busy, so be prepared.
It doesn’t matter if it’s called Duchess or Birdie’s the food is phenomenal. Breakfast burritos are my personal favs but the breakfast and lunch chicken sandwich’s are top tier.
If you’re lucky they’ll have some of the iconic gold dusted donuts available. The other donuts are good too.
Order ahead via an app or in person the cook time is usually around 12 to 17 minutes. This is a hidden gem in Downtown Los Angeles.

Man if the girl at the counter hadn’t of gave me such a hard time over a real hundred dollar bill. She did the market check that was good. Then she started folding it holding it up to the light she must of done this for 3/4 minutes no lie. It was so annoying. Otherwise the Sammy was good. I cannot say the food was bad cause it was great. That girl tho man she really worked my nerves
