We recently stopped by Birrieria Don Boni for a late breakfast, we were seated almost immediately despite the somewhat busy time. Our waiters and hosts were great, they were constantly checking in on us. The quality of the food was great and so were the condiments on the side. We’re not sure if it was just an off day for them but the birria itself was lacking some salt, which was easily fixed with a salt shacker. Overall it was a great restaurant, only thing to note was the lack of seasoning.

Food is good. Employees are horribly rude. Change your hours online instead of making us waste our time coming out to eat. Guy with glasses was so rude, despite us having been here for years.

This is my grandfather's restaurant that I've been going to since I was a kid. Now my aunt takes care of it and it is still as good as I remember. This is the original birria! Everyone should go and try this, it's the best!

This is a local gem. Been coming here since I was a teen and the food is consistently good. Service is quick but attentive.

This place fired all his undocumented employees instead of helping them ....when the ICE raid began..... they knew they were undocumented and fired them.....

Food was delicious, and the service was not the fastest, but the food made up for it !

I got a burrito to go and didn’t notice until i had finished eating it that they gave me some incredibly moldy limes 😬 It makes me question the overall hygiene in this place.

Very expensive for small portions and everything measured and weighed

The portion of food was small. But the meat was very flavorful, and the consume was delicious. Tortillas were nice and hot.

Overall Max 4 star.
Food was good specially being goat meat.
I get there almost one hour before closing and felt the staff was in rush and didn't like it! They moved to seat near door then I noticed not being Hispanic causing little bit different attitude. They should provide both fork and spoon and maybe Xtera small plate for bones!
The parking in the back in the Alley and front doesn't show that they are open!
Kind of like it's for Mexican Elite!
But overall definitely recommended to test but I set the right expectation with 4Star.
Happy 2025

Had the goat and beef birria. The goat birria is better than the beef. There is a parking lot in the back of the restaurant and street parking.

I have been coming here for over 45 years. We always loved it, the lines & crowds always assured you the food would be great. Unfortunately the quality has gone way way down since they remodeled the dining area. There were no lines, no crowds, honestly the empty dining room made me question if I should leave. It really hurts to see it's not the same. Our food was cold, and tasted a bit dry, definitely not like the old days.
The service was good.
Very disappointing
