First of all, it has been years since I came back to birrieria Jalisco. I remember the quality and taste of the food used to be good. I don't know what changed but recently the food is not good, the birria de chino was hard like chewing on rubber, the consome was salty. They really need to taste their food before serving it to the customers. The only thing that was good was the beens and chips.

Birrieria Jalisco is long standing staple in the community, boasting over twenty years of service. Originally located across the street, the restaurant has now taken over the former space of Tacos El Unico, continuing its tradition of serving authentic birria from Jalisco its broth is more of a soupy consistency, the menu features both goat and beef birria along with other delicious dishes like tacos, tortas, sopes and so on.
This establishment is family owned where you see two generations with both elder family members and the younger generation attending to customers; The service is fast and efficient.One of the standout features is the handmade tortillas, which pairs perfectly with the rich flavors of the birria.
My go to dish is the birria de chivo tatemada en caldo, which is lightly charred goat meat in a flavorful broth. I also order a side of refried beans which in my opinion are fantastic they’re silky smooth and pair perfectly with the handmade tortillas. Just a warning their salsa is spicy if you aren’t too good with heat be sure to omit it.
Parking is convenient with an adjacent lot and street options available. However, be prepared for limited seating, especially during the morning rush. The seating consist of about 6 benches within the restaurant and a few more outside. My only complaint is how close the bench is to the table which made it difficult to sit comfortably during my pregnancy.

I stumbled upon this place by accident, and it was totally worth it. The goat with consomé was incredibly flavorful and prepared just right — seasoned beautifully. This might just be my new go-to spot. I got the full order, and it came with fresh-made flatbreads on the side.
