The concept is fun but they thoroughly missed the mark. I walked in on a Saturday night and the vibe was dismal. It was as if you were early to a college dorm room hang with lukewarm liquor and mixers, which is fine i guess, but the prices do not reflect that. A tall can of miller high life is $10 and a shot of well whisky is $13. A $23 beer and shot combo is insane. Not to mention the lack of music (the jukebox has to be fed $1.00 per song… so its silent 70% of the time). Could be a cool spot but lots of room for improvement!

Amazing place. The atmosphere is literally the essence of a LA dive bar and the bartenders are all so friendly

Dive.Bar.Cade. Need I say more? A cozy cash only environment full of iconic and hidden gem games and pinball. A now permanent pop in staple for ANY LA trip.

The absolute best combination of dive bar and arcade you could ask for! It was the bartenders first day (sorry I forgot your name) but he was friendly, engaging and knew his stuff about the games. Cash only, which is honestly part of the charm. Highly recommended!

Creepy spot, the pinball machines are not maintained at all

blipsy bar VIOLATES FEDERAL ADA LAW and refuses to admit disabled persons with a service animal! both the bouncer AND bartender were ignorant of federal ADA regulations. what an embarrassing and disappointing endeavor it was for me to finally take my therapist's advice and attempt to visit a local bar to socialize for the first time in nearly 2 years. ☹️ I thought, 'surely, in 2025, and in a city as big and liberal as Los Angeles, i shouldn't be worrying about this sort of discrimination.' but apparently, I was wrong. not only was I *physically assaulted* by the bouncer upon attempting to legally enter the establishment, but i had to endure the humiliation of an equally ignorant female bartender being insultingly condescending towards me and telling me i had to leave simply because I had my service dog with me. 😭 for god sakes, I had less trouble visiting black metal bars with my service dog in suburban Malmö, Sweden in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic than i had with this place! so i guess it's back to being a hermit and avoiding human stupidity for another 2 years (or longer, since the passage of time is apparently no guarantee that people will become any less ignorant, or any more capable or willing to realize their errors and adapt their behavior, despite even the most respectful, sincere, and articulate attempts to educate them).

Woohoo! Blipsy is back open! Just had an amazing night with awesome drinks, a couple rounds of Donkey Kong and a lively crowd with a bumpin' DJ. Ktown's OG barcade is back!

Really disappointed with this place. Me and a friend were in town for an event and we found this bar via google which said was open at 12pm and once we got here it was not open. On top of not being open it’s hard to even find this place there is no signs saying it’s “Blipsys”. I spent almost $20 for an uber here for nothing

Cool little bar with random cool decor. Arcade games run off quarters. Drinks are ok, your typical dive bar. Bartender was really cool. Place seems a little run down but overall a nice spot.

This place is primarily a bar with video games. I don’t think they serve food, though I didn’t inquire. Fortunately, there are nearby spots where you can grab some Korean food. They offer mixed drinks and beer, plus they have my favorite video game, Asteroids!

Depressing feel when you walk in there, it was dead empty with 2 people working the bar and yet it took a while to get a drink. ALSO, beware of their CASH ONLY scam that they have to get you to use their atm that is completely empty and does not dispense any money but takes it from your account. The atm said it would reverse the transaction and never did
