Great friendly service and chill vibe, this restaurant has a lot of space. Food is not as good as I’ve had at the other location in the valley.

The Melrose location of this cafe always has a line out the door, so I thought I’d try it in my neighborhood. Expected good food.I ordered the Rancheros — was really in the mood for some ranchero-sauce-soaked corn tortillas and eggs. That is not what Blu Jam provides.Nice large portion of diced potatoes, but this is not huevos rancheros and shouldn’t be called that. NO RANCHERO SAUCE. It’s just a dry crunchy tortilla in a stack of potatoes, black beans, eggs, and dry shredded cheddar cheese. Not melted cheese even. There is basically no flavor.I asked about this, thinking they had forgotten the sauce, and was told it’s not the traditional rancheros, it’s Americanized. You lost me. This is LA. Don’t offer a Mexican-inspired dish if you aren’t going to do it right (or somehow interestingly better).Simple solve: name this dish something else.Better solve: add ranchero sauceFood: MiddlingService: Friendly employeesAtmosphere: Large soulless chain feelOverall: No thank you.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options marked.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible, except for the sign blocking the entryway. Would need to ask for this to be moved in order to enter.

I ordered a decaf coffee for MY HEALTH because I can't drink caffeinated coffee IT GIVES ME SEIZURES. They just gave me a coffee to go, like it was nothing. Marked as just "hot" on my receipt. I am livid and waiting to have a potential seizure now and will be suing if so.

Brought the family here for breakfastMy thoughts on breakfast are usually big portions, some offerings are hefty and some are not here. Had the egg white breakfast, it was good. My kids weren't to happy with their portions of food, my son had the cornflake French toast he didn't even finish it and this boy can eat, he said it was too sweet. If you like bigger portions, find a country style restaurant.

I recently dined at Blue Jam, and while the diced potatoes were right on the borderline of decent, the rest of the experience fell short. The salmon and potato dish lacked flavor, with the salmon barely resembling its true taste. The Argentine steak and eggs were decent but unremarkable, missing that special touch. The steak cuts were hearty but lacked flavor. The orange juice had a sour note, almost like a flat carbonated drink. Considering the cost, it was far from worth it--I've had better meals at my local IHOP.Service was virtually nonexistent, as online orders went unchecked, and the sight of numerous tables with leftover food raised concerns. This is a never-return scenario, and I strongly discourage anyone from choosing Blue Jam. Look elsewhere for a more satisfying dining experience.

Overpriced. "Fresh squeezed" orange juice tasted like carbonated and diluted grocery store juice. No flavor in a majority of dishes. No waitress to ask if we need anything. I was given one small butter for all my toast. Would not come back.

The service felt very impersonal and I found the whole ordering and paying through your phone first strange. It would make sense for a fast food joint. The place was nice and the food was okay. The best part for me was the matcha latte.

Great breakfast, so happy it opened this new location! Arrived Saturday at 10:30am and was able to snag an outdoor table within minutes (sign up via the Yelp Waitlist) fun people watching from the outdoor table. Ordered at the front - very quick service. Meal was excellent! (Got the crunchy French toast and make your own scramble). The mint strawberry lemonade and coconut cream tea were excellent as well! Overall amazing breakfast spot (although a little pricey). Can't wait to return.

I’ve been to a previous Blu Jam Cafe in Sherman Oaks and have had a pleasant experience but the food at this location was below par. If I would have to compare this place, I would compare it to an elevated Panera bread. The food was dry and not warm. My order of potatoes were half crunchy and half soggy. The coffee was bitter and tasted burnt. For the prices they are charging, I expected better. I did notice a customer leave 1/2 a sandwich and uneaten potatoes on a table, which was a concern I should have noticed.Service is alright. It’s a cafe, not a restaurant so don’t expect them to be checking up on you before and after your meal. I saw the server only once after the meal arrived.

First red flag was the amount of food people left on their tables after eating. The food was dry, cold, and bland. I ordered the Blu Jam Benedict and the eggs were hard boiled. I tried adding salsa or ketchup and nothing helped the bland food. Second red flag was that we had to order and PAY for our order BEFORE we got the food. It felt like a scam. The waitress didn't check in with us. Just gave us the rundown on how to order and left us water and napkins.Spent over $100 for awful food that my party of 5 and I didn't finish or enjoy. We actually left and decided to make food at home.I've been to other locations where the food is actually flavorful and worth the cost. After this experience, I'm never going to any location again. This location ruined the experience for my party and I.Edit - The hard boiled eggs on my Benedict was my fault as I had accidentally ordered it as such. The manager reached out to me in a private message and did take accountability for the bland food, but that's all. Her message was very accusatory. I've posted them and my response below.

Used to be good but now they purposefully made their delivery menus to be not allergen-friendly at

The cornflake french toast was delicious! The outer crust was coated with the perfect amount of cornflakes which gave it a nice crunch and the center was still soft and yummy. The juevos ranchero and eggs benedict were nice savory options. This place is a semi-self service restaurant so you can place your orders at the register or directly from your table via QR code. We opted for the latter. We were surprised to be seated immediately because there was a farmers' market happening outside. Staff was helpful and courteous.
