Excellent BBQ spot and our waiter was very friendly. The lunch combo is a good deal! They have sports on all the tvs.

I ordered a pickup meal totaling $35 per plate and was shocked by what I received. The portions of meat were extremely small for a BBQ restaurant — especially at this price point. Each container had only a few small slices of brisket and a single sausage, nowhere near what you’d expect for a “2 meats” plate.

For context, the photos were taken before eating — but even after eating, the portion size was very disappointing for what was paid. This was my first meal postpartum while still in the hospital, and I was really looking forward to something filling and comforting.

On top of that, no utensils were included, and the baked beans were overwhelmingly vinegary. Overall, this felt like a complete rip-off. I’ve never seen a BBQ spot serve this little meat for this price.

I won’t be ordering again.

Miserable portions at very high price ridiculous if you want to leave totally unsatisfied feeling like you’ve being robed (and you will) go ahead I asked for the brisket and pork ribs combo and what I’ve got? an x ray thin slice of brisket and 3 small ribs really makes you mad to have to pay $60 for such small portions

Top notch sausage, brisket, potato salad and macaroni and cheese. The rib tips were solid as was the chicken (surprising)! Wonderful service and great atmosphere. We will be back for sure!

Went to Bludso’s BBQ in Hollywood and was really disappointed. The staff were bland and unengaged, and the overall vibe felt flat. The manager was kind.
The BBQ itself was extremely dry. After placing my order, the food came out in about 7–10 minutes, which immediately raised red flags. It tasted like it had been cooked the day before and reheated, very likely microwaved. I ended up sending the meat back and only ate the sides.

Unfortunately, this was not a good experience at all. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

They Are Very Pricey !!
I Ordered 1/2 Rib Tips With Baked Beans & Potato Salad Which Was à la carte Only Didn’t Like That At All
(& THEY DONT EVEN GIVE THE COMPLIMENTARY 2 PIECES OF WHITE OR WHEAT SANDWICH BREAD!). My Total Came To $34 This Being My 1st Visit I Wasnt Aware Of the Portion Sizes.
So I Drive 30 Something Minutes There.
When I Arrived I Was Very Impressed
With The Style And Decor Its Nice There.
Anywhom i Pay For My Order And the Bag Was So Light I Had To Make Sure It Was Actually Food Inside. There Were Only 6 Pieces Of Rather Small Pieces Of Rib Tips and Small Portion Size Sides For What They’re Charging.
Im Truly Disappointed I Spent Good Money On Hardly Any Food. I Admit The BBQ Was Good.
Yu Just Get Samples Of It For A Healthy Price.
Me Personally Is Used To Buying A Lunch or Dinner For No More Than $25 Max & Bread Comes With It.
I Went Here Because My Usual Spot
(Which Is 5Minutes Away From My House)
WAS CLOSED. So I Went Into Google Maps And
stumbled Across This Spot.
Dont Get Me Wrong What I Tasted Was Good.
But Overrated Because Of The SMALL Portions But High Prices.

I used Uber Eats and definitely want my money back. I got 4 rib tips & a piece of brisket(Not juicy or anything) yesterday (1-1-2026). $37 was too much for that🥴

I first had Bludso’s BBQ years ago at the original Compton location, and it was unforgettable. Every visit back then was consistently excellent—hands down the best BBQ in town. The seasoning was perfect, the meat was tender and juicy, and everything delivered. That experience was an easy five stars.

Unfortunately, over the years of ordering from the La Brea location, there have been recurring issues with consistency, and my most recent order in January 2026 may be the last. We ordered a pound of brisket, a full rack of ribs, and the family meal, which includes a whole chicken, two pints of sides, and cornbread with honey butter.

This time, all of the meats were dry—especially the pork ribs. They used to fall right off the bone, but these were so dry that even the BBQ sauce couldn’t save them. The brisket was the only item that was still somewhat enjoyable. The chicken was overly salty, and the mac and cheese and greens were just okay.

If I hadn’t experienced how incredible Bludso’s once was, this would easily be a one-star rating. It’s disappointing to see such a decline from what was once truly exceptional BBQ.

I took these pictures after I had consolidated the leftovers and placed in the fridge for a couple of hours.

Combo was small, greens weren’t seasoned. Gabe me 3 rib tips. Plus side, good cocktails.

We came a long way to this place. Service was great and food was even better. We would come back to this place given a chance and all my kids enjoyed the way food was served. The choices were plenty.

Wow. Just wow. The best BBQ I've had in a very long time. The best BBQ in LA that I've had thus far. Got 1/4 1b brisket and 1/2 lb pork ribs to-go along with the collard greens and Mac n cheese. The meat was perfectly seasoned & smoked, juicy, and didn't need BBQ sauce. Lots of meat on the ribs. Mac n cheese was perfectly balanced- not too saucy or dry. I split this whole order with my partner and we were both satisfied. We are already planning the next time we can come back to try everything else.

I was more impressed with the Cognac specialty drink and the Fries than the food.

A quarter pound of rib tips is 3 rib tips with 40 percent bone! They weigh everything.
The food is good but it's over priced!

Cool, manly place - Sports Bar. Mostly known for it's superb Brisket, Perfect Seasoned fries, and yummy Pork ribs. BBQ Chicken was not as good. Water tasted like tap water, lemonade was too sour and sweet tea was too sweet. Next time want to try lean brisket and pulled pork.
