I love Blue Bottle Coffee, they have the best pour over in town. BUT this location has horrible service. The employees can’t handle a simple Monday morning rush. A few of them never greet you or look you in the eyes when taking your order.

I came here because it's on my way to work and thought of giving it a try. I got a hot chocolate and their breakfast sandwich, I was truly disappointed. I paid $14 total for a basic hot coco I can make at home way better. The breakfast sandwich only had egg and their "special" salsa that tasted like Sriracha sauce. You're pretty much paying for the hip atmosphere. I feel upset I got ripped off but what can I do, now I know.

I completely agree with the opinion in the review that the Asian female staff member was unfriendly. I don’t speak English well, so I couldn’t understand what the staff member said the first time and had to ask her again. She sighed and held her head as if frustrated. I felt really embarrassed and upset. I come here very often, but I’m afraid of being attended to by this staff member, so I might hesitate to visit.

I’ve been coming to this Blue Bottle for years now, and it’s stayed consistent all throughout. The vibe is blight and nice, but there’s limited (and not very comfortable) seating. It’s definitely not where you want to come to get a good amount of work done. The service is hit or miss, with a range from nice and welcoming to aloof indifference (as it was when I came this last time). In the end it’s mainly about the coffee, and BB always delivers. While I’m an espresso nut, the iced NOLA is a must try if you haven’t already.
Vegetarian options: Most if not all their pastries are vegetarian
