I’ve gone to this place one other time and after this being my second time NEVER AGAIN! Security is brutally disgusting and rude. We were in line to pay and the tall white guy with a beanie and a bearer smacked my back I a woman to tell us to move into a line when we’re waiting for our party to arrive. He could have easily vocalized saying excuse me but he had no manners. Then I went into this place where the speakeasy/bar is in to make line for the restroom and the same guy as he had the same stature as from earlier in line, when telling me to move over stops one palm then the other palm over my boobs and makes his hands move over like signaling to scoot but he was so near my chest area that made me so uncomfortable because by a split inch was near touching my private area (chest) and he looked at my boobs almost like testing to see if he could get away with it. I as a woman it makes me feel uncomfortable because just cause you’re in this area of LA and they assume you would consume alcohol they think they can get away with such behaviors. Honestly truly NEVER GOING BACK.so beware it is LA and these weirdos are working for most clubs/bads.

I usually come here for their Blue Mondays nights, and the venue never disappoints. The two stages and the bar you can sometimes sneak into each have their own distinct vibe. The music inside is always great, and the outdoor sets change every week.
The only downsides are the bouncers, who always seem a bit irritated, and the fact that I once had my phone stolen from my pocket here — something I’ve heard continues to be a problem. Still, it’s a solid spot overall. Just remember to bring cash for the entry.

Please just advertise in bold letters when you will be turning people away from the club if you’re not wearing all black. We went on Friday with no issues, went again Saturday just to not be let in because of some white shoes.
Beautiful people great food.

Security is a bunch of thieves, only give them correct change or they will just keep it, they took 20$ from us, bag checker took things from our bag. Bouncer was very touchy and pat me down twice and not the rest of the group.

Watch out for the security guards. A couple of days ago I walked in, paid for my wristband then when I approached the security guard he was incredibly rude right off the bat. I asked how is day was when he was checking my pockets and he said “would be better if you stop spinning around and stayed still” I sad sorry about that and then when he finished checking me, he waved me off insultingly and said “get out of my face”. If you are planning an evening out here just be aware that you might run into this guy so prepare to be talked down to for no apparent reason, taking out all of his insecurities on you.
Blue Monday event is surely the best place to go out in LA on a Monday night. Proper club vibes and it's PACKED after 11pm.
Two separate DJs both with impeccable music, crowd had good vibes (hipster but not annoyingly so), FREE WATER STATIONS, more quiet upstairs area for easier talking, security not overbearing.
$15 cover worth it
So haunted and so cool!

It was great visiting this iconic location.
Though many may find the following paradoxical — and to an extent, it is — but Hollywood has such a strong and supportive local community. Boardner’s, I’d argue, if not the heart of everything, is most certainly a touchstone!
I feel at home here. The space is beautiful and rich with history, and every employee here knows and greets me every single visit. That’s rare and hard pressed to find anywhere, let alone LA!
In sum: A wonderful, atmospheric joint where class and value are both incomparable.
The bartenders are so nice and pour strong. I'm not super social but we still have 2-3 bartenders that remember us and are kind when we come in. Divey lights/atmosphere for a very well maintained bar = my favorite bar in Hollywood!
Fun time with
