The matcha was not good! Asked for cold foam and the staff seemed annoyed that i had to ask for it. She made it messy, fast and very flat. I ordered a couple items like a pannini and 2 other coffees so i would expect better service but did not feel welcomed. Place was very small but did have a nice decor to it with books to read.

It is a small cafe with a simple and cozy atmosphere. But if you think about Korean cafes, you might be disappointed. It's pretty good.

This is the worst matcha latte I've ever had. Absolutely totally devoid of flavor. I asked her to add more matcha, so she did, and it was still completely tasteless.
This was the 3rd try, as the first matcha she handed me tasted of mint. I was like, "what? I didn't order mint tea". She said customers like the mint flavored matcha. I order matcha bc I love the taste of matcha. She made me a regular matcha latte and it was nothing but a $8 cup of hot milk. Disgusting. The milk practically stuck the back of my throat together, so it's probably very poor quality as well. Now I know why they add mint flavor without even asking if you want it!!
The matcha here is very pale in color compared with other matcha lattes I've had, and I've had many many. It's my favorite drink. A special treat, and this was incredibly disappointing. I feel it either has a ton of filler added, or it's just flour with green food coloring. Gross. I couldn't even drink this, and wish I'd asked for my $ back. DO NOT DRINK MATCHA HERE!

A good cafe in DTLA. One of the best masala chai I've had but they ran out of most food options mid-day on a weekday and the barista was unhelpful. Ended up heading to Cole's for a later lunch after the chai. The place is tranquil and good to work in, but the space is too small. Overall a good neighborhood space with excellent chai.

Maybe I was here on an off day as my cardamom ginger Chai tasted only of sad, weak milky black tea - couldn't taste the normal spices of chai. Atmosphere was nicely retro and service was good, though!

A chill and jazzy alcove from the hustle and bussle of downtown la. With a refreshing( The green one smoothie) aromatic and flavor( match and chai) drinks menu. And filling and nutritious menu of food

I just moved to LA this year and have been really disappointed with the Chai selection, loads of places who love to charge $10 for a mid chai made with Oregon mix. I grew up with traditional spiced chai and Bohemian House of Espresso + Chai is and has been the utmost delish place I’ve found, you can taste the cardamon spice and uniquely delish spiced (but not spicy) chai, I’m overjoyed with it’s flavor. Additionally the food is scrumptious! I tried the smoked salmon bagel and the tuna avocado wrap, both of which deliciously flavored, wonderful proportions and plated very well with 3 orange slices. The walls are intriguingly decorated with lots of pop culture moments and unique art pieces, it totally has its own individual elements and appeal! One of my new favorites! Overall, great prices for great quality and great atmosphere.

Parking: There is a parking lot on 213 S Spring Street that is $5 per 15 minutes and has a $12 daily max, ideal for a day outing- about a 10 minute walk to the cafe and in great location for visiting The Last Bookstore as well. Paid street parking is also available but can be tricky to find and if you are out for the day, you’ll wind up paying more.
