A great place, nice people, great staff. Excellent for a lunch, a quick snack or a coffee break from a busy day. A big plus is the garden in the back where you can sit back and enjoy the day. Also good if you prefer working outside in the sun. A warm recommendation.

I love this place. Great vibe, coffee, food and beer/kombucha. BUT… they close so early! And they change it seasonally. So many times I want to go there but remember they close at 5:00 (sometimes 5:30), and it’s just not enough time. I say make it at least 6:00, make yourself a place you could hang right up until at least an early dinner nearby.
Used to get coffee and cookie every morning when I worked in the area - great simple lattes.

Best spot in Hollywood for breakfast and lunch. Pastries are incredible, coffees great, cookies are second to none, and the service is stellar. Great prices, highly recommend.

After some days of sightseeing in LA, my husband and I just wanted to chill at a relaxing cafe and BOLT hit the spot. We were enamoured by the photos of the outdoor dining area and we wanted to see it for ourselves. It was a nice quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of LA. Though the chairs and tables can be littered with fallen leaves and debris, they didn't bother us too much.
We got the meatloaf sandwich (which tasted more meat than loaf) and the bolt bowl. The latter was really good and the chicken even had a hint of pa kra pao (Thai basil) - probably because the cafe is in Thai Town? I really liked the bowl a lot and best of all - it's keto yet filling! The eggs over easy made the bowl creamy, yum! The iced tea was also refillable and was not sugary at all with a nice subtle fruitiness. Service was also great and warm!

While Bolt EaHo demonstrably aspires to function as an East Hollywood sanctuary for devotees of caffeinated elixirs, its espresso, alas, falls short of such lofty aspirations. Though yielding a delectably viscous mouthfeel, the establishment's approach to extraction lamentably tends towards an overly intense, pyrogenic character, thereby obscuring the inherent complexity of the coffee beans. A gentle suggestion to the artisans of the espresso: a judicious reduction in tamping pressure and extraction time may unlock the full spectrum of flavors these beans have to offer. By achieving a harmonious equilibrium between intensity and nuance, Bolt could undoubtedly elevate its espresso to the sublime. (And, indeed, grant the hapless coffee beans themselves a more auspicious fate.)

Friendly service right when I walked in the door. The special smoked brisket breakfast tacos with hatch green chili was fantastic and not overfilling. They also had strong dark roast coffee on drip, which was delicious.
The vibe is a coffee shop filled with people on laptops and light table chatter. Long wooden community table and small booths throughout to accommodate both longer and shorter bites and sips. I would gladly stop by here again if I'm in the area!

Cool place that leaves you alone and let’s you do your thing. Wifi, indoor/outdoor seating, a few charging ports but better to be charged up I think there’s only two. Parking is bad but not terrible, considering LA. Park a block away and you’ll be fine. Food is good as well. Nothing to ride home about but solid and the specials are pretty great. Breakfast brisket tacos are really good.

Friggin awesome is all I have to say. Was visiting my brother who lives in Hollywood and he insisted on taking me there for breakfast. Glad he did! Original home made breakfast items and amazing home baked cookies and muffins. Definitely stopping by next time I’m in town.

Had lunch and breakfast there. Very friendly staff and great food. Big portions for a good price. Little gem close to the walk of fame.
BTW: Their internet was way better than in my hotel.
