While Koreatown is brimming with delectable barbecue joints, this one stands out with its top-tier Tong Galbi.Although not the fanciest establishment, the focus here is on the mouthwatering flavors and fantastic service. The quality of the Tong Galbi is remarkable, and the pork belly is equally enticing. What truly stole the show for me, though, was their Doenjang Kalguksu (soybean paste noodle soup). It's a harmonious blend of rich flavors, not too salty, with delightfully chewy noodles that leave your taste buds craving more.If I were to pinpoint a single drawback, it would be the slight discomfort caused by the smoke while grilling the meat. However, the overall dining experience, complete with the exceptional quality of the dishes and the inviting ambiance, more than makes up for this minor inconvenience.

After 20+ years of eating kbbq in ktown, this is my favorite place!If you want true consistency, this is the only place in ktown that tastes exactly the same, time after time. Never have been disappointed here. Its not possible! Going here again for my bday dinner just like last year!

The boss has a conscience.Shouldn't the side dishes be basically the right kind of kimchi at the level of food waste that you don't know when you put it in?Kimchi roll goes into noodles, but I can't get enough of it. Cozy restaurant in a not so pleasant mall.Food was okay especially kimchi was near perfect taste and quality.Asado styled beef rib bbq was unique but kind of pricey.I was embarrases of servers complaint about the tip I paid.It was a little less than 15% of total amount.She brought the bill and said , " did you pay just this for tip?"Wow.... I won't go back to this place.Never ever again.

This is kbbq in Koreatown is quite different from the others. They are most known for their tong galbi which does take some time to cook! The owner was telling me that she recommends people to call ahead and they can start cooking it ahead of time so that you're not waiting too long! However what makes this place really unique is that they give you this pico de gallo and homemade hot sauce to eat with the meat! Pro tip: you should mix the hot sauce into the pico and eat it with the meat and it's so good! The side dishes that you get are pretty solid and their dwenjangjjigae is really good too! All in all this is a solid spot for a unique kbbq experience! But I do warn you that the price is pretty high but it's good quality meat and great service!
Heard from my uncle that they serve pico de gallo here to put on the meat. Now THAT’s interesting. Wasn’t sure how it would taste, but man, it’s pretty good with the kalbi. They also serve these marinated onions on the side that go well with all the meats. I’d recommend ordering the chadol/brisket as well. A little pricey but good food overall.

Went here tonight with two friends and made two new friends. It was a wonderful experience because I am a Black girl with three Korean friends, that made the experience so authentic. I learned so much about the culture. My friends are regulars, so I even got to take shots with the owner, who is funny and an absolute sweetheart. She gave me a couple of bottles of beer for my birthday too. I already have a couple of bottles of Jinro in the fridge, so I'm good for a couple of bombs. If you are in the mood for some excellent Kbbq with great service, you should try Book Sae Tong. If it's a Friday night, I suggest you make reservations, it gets pretty crowded. I'm looking forward to going again. I can't stress enough how good the service and food is. Now of course I'm off to the shower because part of the experience is you leave smelling like you have been to a Kbbq joint, but don't let that deter you from the experience. I have been for Kbbq and the smell was stronger. Dress casual and enjoy yourself!
