We hiked down from Griffith Observatory and looked for a lunch spot and found Boran Thai. The room is decorated nicely and the older man took my photo simulating getting into a tuk tuk. We had Shrimp Tom Yum soup and pad Thai - both exquisitely delicious.
Best hole-in-the-wall thai spot in Thai town. Lived in the area for 5 years and never found better. Their khow soi is incredible and their noodles are all great. The staff is friendly and professional. I mostly ordered takeaway meals but they have a nice space to sit in.
Boran has quick service, affordable eats and consistent quality.
I go for the fried tofu and crispy pork pad thai. This may not be the hippest spot in Thai town, but they are kind and do good work.
