The food was excellent, and I plan to come back again with my family and friends. The people who seek healthy meal should definitely dine here at least once. You will surely enjoy.

Time of visit - 11am Wednesday

Order - course meal ($35 per person) at least 2 people needed. Would not recommend this place if you intend to dine alone. Portions are large.

Food - every single dish reminds me of rural South Korea. I loved every single dish down to the last drop of plum dessert drink. If you haven’t had food from rural Korea, you may find the food here bland with unfamiliar flavors so this place cannot be enjoyed by everyone. But if you remember the taste of grandma cooking back in Korea you would love this place.

Service is excellent when the place is not full of people. The most popular menu item is the course meal so expect delays when the place is packed.

Truly one of the best meals I’ve had in my life. This is on par with what I’ve had in Jeju and even better than food I’ve had in Seoul. Service was warm and friendly as well. Only thing to take note is that the servings are HUGE and you need to order one set per person. The amount and quality of food is totally worth the price you pay for.

The presentation of the dishes wasn’t bad, but it doesn’t taste like traditional Korean barley rice. The seasoning of each ingredient doesn’t harmonize well. I wouldn’t recommend this place because I’m worried people who haven’t tried real Korean barley rice might think this is what it’s supposed to taste like. If you’re craving bibimbap, I recommend the one at Jin Sol Gukbap, just one block away. I honestly don’t understand why this place has such good reviews. I wouldn’t go back again.

I really enjoyed the set meal and the fun experience as a non-Korean trying different items (yes all places have Banchan, but the portions and presentation are nice here). There are a few lower ratings so I am hoping they aren't inconsistent, but our experience was excellent.

For my first time here, I was incredibly impressed with the food lineup and flavors.
The meal started with pumpkin porridge and scorched-rice tea, and after just one taste of the porridge, I gave it a big thumbs-up!
I ordered the spicy marinated crab and boiled pork belly. The crab was perfectly prepared, and the seasoning was absolutely spot-on.
The quality is definitely comparable to a solid, traditional Korean restaurant. All the side dishes were also clean and well-made.
I felt the cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew) was a little on the bland side, but it wasn't a deal-breaker at all, and it might just be my preference.
Overall, this was one of the most satisfying meals I've had in a long time. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

My friends wanted to try authentic Korean food, so we went to Borit Gogae, which had a 4.3 Google rating. The restaurant is spacious, decorated with traditional Korean items, and even has goods available for purchase. For dinner, we ordered the “Banchan” set with barley rice ($29.99 per person), which included soybean soup and chicken soup. We also had to order a meat or fish dish separately, so we went with the LA Kalbi and yellow corvina. Unfortunately, the banchan and both soups were very bland—I didn’t eat them. The Kalbi was tasty, but the corvina was so nasty I couldn’t finish even one bite. The service was good, but overall, I wouldn’t return.

Great atmosphere and service but average flavor. Impressive number of dishes in a set. Some were really good but overall flavor is ok.

I'm glad I tried it, but don't feel compelled to visit again. We arrived just past noon and our rice arrived room temp, our soups quickly reached room temp, and the entire meal felt very rushed and not particularly special given the high cost/person. As mentioned previously, the food quality reminded me of a Korean school cafeteria! That said, the ladies who work there are very kind and nice. Parking in the small shared lot behind the restaurant can be a challenge.

Overrated. Spent $130 for two people. Vegetables were just collections of basic inexpensive Korean food. The food was plaine. Very disappointed. Not worth it.
