The garlic butter shrimp is FIRE. Rich in flavor and so is the cucumber salad. The owner is also very nice, highly recommend! Will visit again for sure!

My girlfriend and I were in town for a concert and needed a nearby restaurant with solid gluten-free options. I have celiac, so avoiding cross-contamination is a must.
We both loved Broken Mouth. They have a great variety of gluten-free dishes that _don’t_ taste gluten-free, including spam musubi. I got the shrimp and my girlfriend had the teriyaki chicken. The portions were huge – we definitely got our money’s worth with the entrees, rice, and salad.
I kept raving to my girlfriend about how good everything was, during dinner and after. Timothy, who was running the restaurant, was super friendly and generous.
I’ve seen reviews mention the wait, but ours felt fair. Good food takes time, and this was worth it. We weren’t there during a big rush, for context.
Next time we’re in LA, we’re going back for sure.

Delicious and unique! Not much else to say differently than the other reviews but just wanted to throw in my rating. They give a lot of food so you kinda have something for lunch and dinner. There's a very open eating area as well.

Timothy Lee the chef/ owner is one the kindest and coolest dudes around with a tremendous love and passion for food and culture
I ordered the meat plate with Mac salad and for $30 you get a HUGE portion. I was able to split this into 3 meals and probably could’ve gone to 4 even.
The rice is excellent, the Mac salad is insanely good and one of the best and most unique versions I’ve had, and that beef - WOW. Tender, juicy, flavorful, coated in fluffy egg batter. This is the best version of home cooking and comfort food there is

Nobody does it better! Perfect food, best service, so friendly and nice. The location could use an upgrade, but I go by motorcycle, so it is great for me. I have no idea how car people can access this place.
