I'm a little disappointed. I tried a few pastries and they were all pretty dry. The madeleines were slightly burnt and lacked buttery flavor. I was excited for their cookies, but they were also very dry, flavor and texture were off. Hoping this was an off day.

Was almost lost when trying to find the outlet since it's located in a plaza that might not be visible if you're by the road side. Worry not about parking at the plaza since they apparently validated parking (yep! plus point for sure).

The gorgeously designed outlet only served grab and go since there's no seating on the spot. There were some outdoor benches at the center of the plaza though if you just couldn't wait to enjoy the goodies.

They offered bunch of sweets from Canele, Madeleine, Financier, Cookies, Cheesecake, and more; all of which did come in multiple flavors. So yeah, be prepared to be indecisive in front of the showcase. They were super helpful though in assisting you making your choices by recommending the favorite ones. It was nice that the price was decent enough for LA standard, so you could definitely opt for more than one or a couple.

For my initial visit, I started with the Ube Financier, which was kept in the chiller, maybe due to the cream on top. It came in spongy yet not too airy texture with luscious ube cream topping. It was decent, but not really my top choice. My second was their Earl Grey Milk Chocolate Tigre, which was basically buttery cake kinda similar to financier IMO, with milk chocolate ganache at the center. I definitely loved this more than the financier, especially the combo of earl grey and milk chocolate which to my surprise was awesome and helped balancing the taste to be not overly sweet. Another one I tried was their thick salted chocolate chip cookies, which decadently had crispy edge though I wish being more gooey inside as it's tad dry. Nonetheless, flavor wise I felt like classic chocolate chip with a sprinkle of sea salt indeed never failed. The creme de la creme, however, was certainly their canele which I was beyond thrilled to finally find in LA. I had my favorite one in London which I thought unbeatable, and it's impressive that LA now had something comparable to satisfy the craving without having to fly over 5K miles away. It flawlessly had that crispy coating, moist center, and just the right sweetness level. I surely made the right choice going with matcha as Brown Bag definitely elevated the overall taste with this matcha flavor and that matcha cream top. It was no brainer that their canele is NEVER TO BE MISSED if you ever paid Brown Bag a visit.

Their Canele is superb. The crispy outer layer and soft inside combination blew my mind. Flavor wise, both earl grey and ube are great. The texture really shines.

Have ube financier and macadamia cookie, they’re good but not special.

Very clean shop. Staff is nice and helpful. Nice variety of sweets and not so sweets. Got three things thinking, one when I get home, one after dinner and something for tomorrow morning. They are gone already. Caneles are great. The black sesame Financiers, so good. And you can never go wrong with chocolate chocolate chip cookies.

I am a guy who like simple desserts. However, just found this place by accident. All the pastries here were amazing. I went there yesterday and I am going again. Super quality. Only problem is parking…😂

Can’t stop eating them!
Honestly, I didn’t expect them to be this good. Each cookie has its own vibe — some nutty, some soft and buttery, all super fresh. And the spot where I got them? Super clean and neat, which I really appreciate. You can tell they put love into everything. I’ve already recommended them to a couple friends!

These cookies are amazing!
Every single one is soft, buttery, and full of flavor. Some have nuts, some are a little chewy inside — all of them are super tasty. Perfect with a cup of coffee (like in the pic)! They’re not too sweet, just right. You can tell they’re made with care. I’d totally get these again — great for sharing or just enjoying on your own.
