I work across the street from here and have seen the changes first hand, as I am not vegan I can’t comment on the missed wave of 100% vegan food. For a carnivore though, we can honestly say there isn’t a better burger on Fig. Yes the previous owners had Dj nights, as they had a beer and wine license, I don’t think this place sells alcohol anymore.
Down to the food: The meat skirts of the burgers are huge and hang around the bun with gooey melted cheese, it’s a true simple smash burger and will satisfy anyone looking for that dream bite. Fries are skinny and taste remarkably like McDonald’s my fav thing to do is order the fries and shake and dip the fries in.

TINY & OVERPRICED! there was one option. Just the smash burger. It was sooooo small. It tasted fine but the price was ridiculous for what it was. The fries had too much salt.

New ownership completely ruined what was an awesome, vibey spot. Prices were raised to ridiculous levels and quality has gone down hill. A real shame.

RIP the old Burgerlords. This new one is SO overpriced for very ok food. It was completely dead when we went but the server was super super nice. So there’s that.

Holy shit this place is bad. Tiny little burger with the worst fries I’ve ever had. They leave the nastiest taste in your mouth. No one gives a shit if they were cooked in beef tallow. Would not recommend this place to anybody. Oh also it’s 25$ for a burger and fries. Drink not included lmao

Shakes no longer even vegan. Left a note after I already ordered.

Used to be great, new ownership took a buzzsaw to what was working and really messed this thing up. Went once and haven’t been back.

Overpriced, minimalist (but not in the cool way), and mediocre food. I remember enjoying the vegan burger at the Chinatown burgerlords a few years back. This was a totally different product: mushy, lacking flavor, and boring af. Will not be returning. The only redeeming factor was the excellent service.

Used to be my favorite spot in the city. The new ownership ruined everything about the experience while increasing the cost to nigh unfathomable prices for what is effectively a burger diner, AKA classier fast food, and I don’t mean that pejoratively. Damned tragedy what happened to this place. After tax and tip, two people having a burger and fries and a drink ordered at a counter was $60.

New vegan patty isn't good. 1k island is bad. Place is totally dead.
The prices they have here absurd even by today's standards.

Burger $16 + Fries $7 = $23
Burger + Fries Combo = $25?
vs
A double double = $5.89

May as well close the place. Its over.
