I didn’t want to have to write a review, especially a negative one, but this cake shop ruined my 30th birthday. All I wanted was a chocolate cake for my birthday, it was the only gift I wanted. My husband did his best to surprise me and called this bakery with a week’s notice asking for a multi layered chocolate cake that would be super decadent. The woman who took the order rushed my husband off the phone and was rude. Days later when going to pick it up on my actual birthday, all we got was a 2 layered cake that was dry as hell, horribly decorated and with frosting that tasted like pure butter with no other taste. They told us it was ganache…it wasn’t. I’m a baker myself, and was horrified. It was a whopping $75 and frankly looked as cheap and thoughtless as a blank cake from the grocery store. Thanks for ruining our day yesterday, if we could get any kind of refund for the amount of wasted time and tears you caused, we would. ??

She left a bad review, but the owner reached out to my wife to make accommodations, which is generous.We ordered 3 types of cupcakes, Devils Food, Carrot, and Birthday Cake. I'm happy to say that these are absolutely delicious. Carrot cake is by far the best, but I'm also a fan of savory and spices, then Devils Food follows. Perfectly moist cake with a balance of frosting sweetness and ingredients. I'm not a cake person, but I'd definitely come back here just for myself since it's so good. If you want really good cake, come here.

My wedding guests cannot stop asking me where our wedding cake was from - Butter Cake Shoppe! I knew in just chatting with Ari initially that Butter Cake Shoppe was going to be my top choice - the flavors are classic but creative, and they were willing to jump all in on my vision. My fiance and I went through two tasting boxes - partially because we couldn’t decide, but mostly because the cake was just that good. The crunch pearls in most flavors are the best part, so do not skip on those. And anything with the pistachio praline is incredible (seriously, you guys should jar and sell that stuff).We ended up with a gorgeous three tiered ‘Lambeth’ style cake with lemon and strawberry-pistachio layers, plus two sheet cakes in the back for extra servings. Plus, Butter Cake Shoppe provided the cutest frozen anniversary cake so the top tier didn’t have to be saved! I’m not exaggerating when I say that mostly every guest at our wedding asked where the cake was from or said it was the best cake they’d ever had.As if all of that wasn’t enough, Butter Cake Shoppe also put together a fishing themed groom’s cake for my rehearsal dinner as a surprise for my fiance. He absolutely loved it and all of his fishing friends got a kick out of how realistic it was, and that we used red velvet for the ‘insides’ of the fish. I ordered a cake for my birthday and it is hands down one of the best tasting cakes I have ever had. I am not a huge cake fan, but I could have eaten the whole champagne/strawberry custard cake all by myself. The buttercream was balanced and it was not overly rich or sweet. The cake itself was moist. Every bite was a delight. The shimmering cherries and over all design was beautiful and it really made for a special celebration. I will definitely order from here again in the future!

They did an amazing job with my grandmother's 75th birthday cake. It was a lemon cake with lemon buttercream and lemon curd. It tasted so fantastic.
