My wife and I recently ordered from here last month, and after eating the cake for her birthday, her and I were not feeling well. She left a bad review, but the owner reached out to my wife to make accommodations, which is generous.We ordered 3 types of cupcakes, Devils Food, Carrot, and Birthday Cake. I'm happy to say that these are absolutely delicious. Carrot cake is by far the best, but I'm also a fan of savory and spices, then Devils Food follows. Perfectly moist cake with a balance of frosting sweetness and ingredients. I'm not a cake person, but I'd definitely come back here just for myself since it's so good. If you want really good cake, come here.

My wedding guests cannot stop asking me where our wedding cake was from - Butter Cake Shoppe! I knew in just chatting with Ari initially that Butter Cake Shoppe was going to be my top choice - the flavors are classic but creative, and they were willing to jump all in on my vision. My fiance and I went through two tasting boxes - partially because we couldn’t decide, but mostly because the cake was just that good. The crunch pearls in most flavors are the best part, so do not skip on those. And anything with the pistachio praline is incredible (seriously, you guys should jar and sell that stuff).We ended up with a gorgeous three tiered ‘Lambeth’ style cake with lemon and strawberry-pistachio layers, plus two sheet cakes in the back for extra servings. Plus, Butter Cake Shoppe provided the cutest frozen anniversary cake so the top tier didn’t have to be saved! I’m not exaggerating when I say that mostly every guest at our wedding asked where the cake was from or said it was the best cake they’d ever had.As if all of that wasn’t enough, Butter Cake Shoppe also put together a fishing themed groom’s cake for my rehearsal dinner as a surprise for my fiance. He absolutely loved it and all of his fishing friends got a kick out of how realistic it was, and that we used red velvet for the ‘insides’ of the fish. We loved our cake! We selected a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream frosting for one layer and a marble cake with hazelnut filling and buttercream frosting for the other two layers. Everyone loved the cake, it was delicious without being overly sweet and it was beautiful! The team was very easy to work with and very responsive.

Amazing work, amazing flavors, I ordered one fancy tiered cake and gave Ari and the crew some ideas regarding design and we sampled many little cakes for our flavor preference. We went with a vanilla cake w/ strawberry buttercream and also a chocolate cake w/ raspberry jam (jelly) everyone loved it at our party...not over whelming in the frosting either...amazing! Bravo!

I ordered a cake for my birthday and it is hands down one of the best tasting cakes I have ever had. I am not a huge cake fan, but I could have eaten the whole champagne/strawberry custard cake all by myself. The buttercream was balanced and it was not overly rich or sweet. The cake itself was moist. Every bite was a delight. The shimmering cherries and over all design was beautiful and it really made for a special celebration. I will definitely order from here again in the future!

I am really surprised to see a cake shop like this one I was not able to snag a chocolate cake but she was willing to make me on in an hour if I didn't have time constraint I would wait but since I didn't I would still love to comeback and order ahead next time the two person there I guess they're owners ar every nice and welcoming they have available nice looking sweetheart pink cake darn but overall the lace looks really like cakes are made with love and passion I didn't even try the cake and here I'm reviewing it already hahahahahahah

After tasting several other LA-based cake companies, it was no competition- from our first tasting we were blown away by the unique flavor combinations, absolutely delicious, beautiful premium cakes. You can taste how high quality they are and we couldn’t stop thinking about them. We worked with Ari and she was a delight, communication was easy and the process was seamless. Highly recommend and can’t wait to use Butter for future celebrations!

We did the tasting, which was so fun and my family loved-- totally worth the $35 (which goes towards your cake if you order anyway). We ended up doing a raspberry cake w/ raspberry curd and peanut buttercream-- so yummy! The curd was recommended by the shop and totally made the cake. I sent one design reference and they suggested a design that i loved. It was executed perfectly and we got tons of compliments at the party. Ari was so helpful throughout the entire process, very responsive to emails and really patient w/ all my questions and when I added extra cookies and things to the order. The Pinklepuff cookies were a huge hit w/ all the kids as well. Thank you!
