About Café 2001

Café 2001 is a quaint and comforting eatery in the Arts District with cute, cool vibes that feels like a step into the past. It is a pleasant surprise and a quaint place to enjoy an intimate time with friends or by yourself, perfect to unwind. The staff are very friendly and helpful, offering great wine recommendations without making guests feel rushed. The seats are comfortable and they play classical music all day, making it hard to leave.

The food is really good and very well executed. Excellent dishes include the tonnata, the duck, the Lamb Moussaka, the terrine plates, the smoked trout, the sardines, the pork katsu, the egg salad Sando, the Falafel salad, and the avocado toast with kohlrabi, which was called phenomenal. For dessert, the fig tart, lemon tart, passion fruit tart, chocolate tart, and chocolate cookies are all impeccable and worth writing home about. The drip coffee is really good. However, some items are just okay, like an iced matcha latte that was not cold. Prices are typical for LA. It is a very happy place that exists, and many look forward to returning.
