I recently visited Cafe Cali inside the Oxford Hotel in LA. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was nice overall. Our server, a gentleman, was extremely kind and gave us excellent service .so much so that I would want to return because of his professionalism and effort. However, during our meal, one of the women working there (possibly the owner or manager) scolded him very loudly in front of everyone. We were sitting near the kitchen, and it was impossible not to hear. She kept calling out to him in a harsh way, saying “hey, hey” across the room, which made us feel uncomfortable while dining. No matter what mistake might have been made, this should never happen in front of customers. It came across as very unprofessional and disrespectful. There were several tables of guests at the time, and we all felt awkward and distracted because of her behavior. It was disappointing to see, especially because the male server was doing his best and treating us so well. Honestly, if she continues to work there and behave this way, I would hesitate to return, even though I enjoyed the food. I truly hope the management takes this feedback seriously and creates a more comfortable, welcoming environment. This place has great potential to be a warm and relaxing spot to enjoy a good meal ,as long as the service atmosphere matches the quality of the food.

We had breakfast, ordered off the Western menu and the eggs bene was excellent. Then we went for dinner the same night, I had the grilled mackerel and soup dinner, great presentation, tons of banchan selection, and super tasty. Restaurant is on the 2nd floor, and the service was excellent.
