If you’re looking for a café that perfectly captures the heart and flavor of Little Tokyo, Cafe Dulce is an absolute gem. Nestled in the vibrant streets of Little Tokyo in Los Angeles, this spot has become a go-to destination for anyone who appreciates exceptional coffee, creative pastries, and a welcoming atmosphere.

From the moment you walk in, the energy is warm and inviting. The space strikes a beautiful balance between modern and cozy — clean lines, natural light, and just enough buzz to make it feel lively without overwhelming conversation. Whether you’re meeting friends, taking a work break, or enjoying a quiet solo coffee moment, it’s the kind of place that instantly makes you want to stay a while.

The coffee program is consistently impressive. Every cup tastes thoughtfully crafted, from smooth, balanced lattes to bold, rich espresso. You can tell there’s real care in the quality of the beans and the precision of the preparation. Even the specialty drinks feel intentional — creative without being gimmicky, flavorful without overpowering the coffee itself.

But what truly sets Cafe Dulce apart is the pastry selection. The menu blends classic techniques with Asian-inspired flavors in a way that feels both innovative and comforting. Their donuts are especially memorable: soft, perfectly textured, and not overly sweet. Each bite tastes fresh and thoughtfully made. Beyond donuts, the selection of baked goods always feels curated rather than crowded — everything has a purpose, and everything is worth trying.

Great soft pastries here. I got the mango mousse donut, it was super fluffy.

I enjoy drinking at Cafe Dulce. I usually get the Apple Spiced Latte and my Mom gets the Rose Tea Latte which is really good!! I enjoy the Foam of the Latte. Last Saturday I tried the Blueberry Matcha Latte and it is really good!! The Service was Good when I was going to get the Matcha Latte but the Casher Recommend the Blueberry Matcha Latte. I not usually a Matcha Person but now if I want to drink a Matcha Drink then I will go to Cafe Dulce!! It gets crowded on either the Morning or Noon Time and the Line is Long but you don’t have to wait too long for the line and you can place your order for either Food or Drink. I recommend the Blueberry Matcha Latte if it’s a hot day.

downtown Los Angeles around Civic Center is becoming a food / drink desert....... a lot of the best places that were around for decades all disappeared after covid........ really happy we still have Cafe Dulce... everything about it is great other than them having only one register to process the throngs of people that come through there........ still, it does the job with excellent beverages, delicious treats (I bought one of their chocolate cheesecakes to take to my family for Christmas and they loved it...... price was reasonable), and friendly and engaging staff....... the guys I work with and I usually hit this place at least three or four times a week

Good coffee, great pastries, and excellent customer service. The guy at the counter (I wish he was wearing a name tag) went out of his way to make sure me and my friend got out of there happy. Nothing but love here.

This place looks good. So let’s see if they’re pretty good eh or ew. I got their green tea roti which had decent green tea flaves with a buttery cookie crust and and thin layer of some sort of filling. The bread itself was decently soft and chewy. Overall eh.

I’ve been here twice, and I enjoyed both visits. The blueberry matcha was especially memorable, and the cake was delicious. I also really loved the atmosphere, particularly the vibe of the outdoor seating.

The Blueberry Matcha and Regular Matcha were phenomenal. Huge shoutout to John for the best customer service. He was so chill and cool to chat with. Excellent recommendation of the Strawberry Roti, it was the perfect snack for the trip!

Always look forward to making a Cafe Dulce visit a part of the LA Trip!

Great food spot with excellent service, menu options, good flow in the layout, up to date decor and for an exceptionally busy shop it's clean and hygienic.

Loved the music selection. Forgot we're in Downtown LA🤩
