Visited Cafe Jane on a Tuesday around noonish. There was ample seating available and the wait time for our food to come out was very minimal. The americano was deliciously bold and my mom was delighted by their mocha. We shared two entrees: the breakfast sandwich and the orange french toast. The breakfast sandwich had really fluffy soft scrambled eggs and the brioche was a nice bite. The French toast was OuT oF tHIs WoRLd! - loads of citrus and balanced with the subtle sweetness of fried bananas. Will be back to try their rice bowls. Overall score: ?/?.

Service 1/10 - it's an odd feeling being a Highland Park native, going into a non-native business and being treated as if you're the one that doesn't belong. minimal customer service and no acknowledgement upon entering or leaving. Sweet Chai Latte 8/10 - this is the only item i get from here & it is so good! $17 for french toast, chilaquiles or huevos rancheros that I can make at home.. no thank you Jane. not even after a joint does that seem like a fun idea. I'll stick to Mando's amazing breakfast down the street. Ambiance 6/10 - if you're light skinned and not from NELA then this is the perfect place for you. safe outdoor seating for you and your baby and your dog while you eat your overpriced oatmeal & judge the native working class peoples walking home or to/from the bus stop.

I don't know how we didn't notice that Jane started serving dinner. Not only that, but Korean food. I read some reviews the majority were 4-5 stars. We decided to try it. We went early in case it was crowded. It wasn't. It was rather lonely there being the only patrons. We aren't Korean but we have exposed to Korean culture and food and been to Korea a few times over the last 20+ years. We ordered separate meals, although it could be shared family style. I love meat so I ordered LA Kalbi, my wife ordered sizzling hot skillet bibimbap. We both enjoyed our food as it was well prepared and tasty. This is a happy addition to the local area. Normally we would have to travel to Ktown or La Cañada for Korean cuisine. However, I feel that the word needs to get around to the locals to patronize the dinner time. It will be great addition to the neighborhood to have broader spectrum of food choices on this side of York. By the way the top review is absolutely ridiculous stating some conspiracy theory that Jane was behind a review of a nearby cafe that said to go to Jane's instead. This guy is nuts. Give it a try!

We had dinner here last night and it was absolutely delicious. I ordered the hot skillet bibimbap and my friend had the soon tofu. I'm already thinking about when I can get back and try some other dishes, they were both amazing. Dog friendly, lots of patio space. Friendly service.

I enjoy coming here, they have great breakfast. However I came in today to get a hot coffee before they closed at 3 pm. It was 2:45 pm and went to order a coffee and was told they closed the espresso machine down. Was disappointed cuz just wanted an oat milk latte. Next time I'll call ahead to see if the machine is still on.

I had such a joyful and homey experience. I took my grandma there and she is a fairly picky individual. However, she loved the kindness from the staff and the home-like ambiance.
The brunch is great but the Jane at Night (korean food) is AMAZING!!!!! How many authentic korean restaurants do you know around here? Me neither!! The late night menu is great for family style. The wine choices are excellent and pair well. In my experience, the late night experience is a lot more intimate. With only a couple staff members attending to us, they do a great job at making everyone feel welcomed. The menu items may be difficult to visualize, at least for me (little experience with Korean food). Don't be afraid to ask questions!

This is such a great place for breakfast. It's literally in a house on York Blvd such a great vide and the food is tasty and fresh. The food is also innovatively made with modern takes on classic dishes.

One of the worst customer service i've received. I have been to this place a couple times but this time we ordered the mushroom omelette and it was by far gross, we got the french toast as well which was actually good. We let them know we didn't like the omelette and the server didn't even ask what was wrong with it or if we'd like a refund/ replacement. The manager didn't want to give us a refund for a food we didn't eat and the least she could have done was offer a replacement since we already paid for it. It is not about the money it's the principle. Please know how to treat returning customers, because i will not be returning.
