Had a Saturday lunch there and the food and wine was outstanding!! We decided on small plates and salads. The tomato carpaccio and beet salad were delicious. Simple food with big flavors! Beautiful courtyard setting and very cool wine store attached!
If you want to get stomach cancer from burned black sandwiches and chicken and ruin your evening by rude attitude from the manager/ owner - go to this restaurant! Four of us went there Saturday evening ( nov 29) and we got served burned sandwiches and chicken One of us had to wait forever for the food too ( and restaurant was literally empty - it was about 6 pm) Once I brought this to the waiters attention hinting that perhaps they should give us a discount for poor quality meal he went somewhere to “ talk to the manager” and came back to us with astonishing response: “ actually our owner prefers to make it blackened bc its more authentic French way of making it so you get no discounts and no apologies “ To be fair that waiter seemed polite and the ambience was nice except that they played some low quality ross or kmart style pop or rap music instead of traditional French music which also derogated from the ambience but ok What was most astonishing was the ATTITUDE from that manager/ owner or whoever it was - he didn't even bother to come out to talk to us personally!! My recommendation is for them to change the manager who should instead of ignoring customers watch negligent kitchen staff ! Maybe fire kitchen helpers too : imagine in an empty restaurant they just stick your sandwich and chicken into that grill and forget it there until it turns black ! They literally had nothing else to do and still screwed up like this and manager covered them up and on top of it lied about this being a proper way of cooking in France ! I ve been to France and they never burn their food ! A good manager would ve come out to the few customers in attendance, would hear us out , would apologize, may be offer to remake it or more properly would take it out of our bill ! This is why im giving this place low ratings on service and especially food and high ratings for the ambience
I’m honestly disappointed. I came here for a special night out, and everything went wrong — from the rude hostess bartender, no one picks up the phone, they no longer have live music. I asked the bartender why don't they pick up the phone she said it's beyond her pay grade. Beyond your pay grade to prove basic customer service to patrons paying $15+ for drinks?? I will never go back to this establishment

Great burger and wine list. We enjoyed our time there especially as we have been missing Stella.
Great bistro. Not a fav dinner choice. Brunch or lunch is probably a better fit. The ingredients and dishes were quite good. I would say cerebral rather than soulful. Theo wine selection was good and reasonable priced.
This place is a real gem. The bruschetta was absolutely incredible. The scratch-made pasta was delicious, and they have arguably the best tiramisu I've ever had. The service was friendly and relaxed, making it a great spot for any occasion. If you're craving tasty Italian food, this place is definitely worth checking out.

It’s shocking how low the bar has fallen for basic professionalism, especially at the front door of an establishment claiming to offer a premium experience. The doorman was nothing short of a caricature—rude, unrefined, and operating on some self-appointed power trip. Instead of facilitating an upscale and welcoming atmosphere, he seemed more suited for a third-rate dive bar.
This testosterone-fueled, low-IQ gatekeeper couldn’t manage the simplest task of customer engagement, let alone uphold the standard of service one expects from a beloved neighborhood establishment. The interaction reeked of inexperience and insecurity, completely shattering any illusion of class or sophistication the venue might aspire to.
If management/stakeholders are serious about creating an environment that caters to discerning clientele, they should invest in staff who reflect that ethos—people with both the emotional intelligence and professional demeanor to elevate the experience. Until then, I’ll stick to social clubs that still understand the meaning of service.

The pièce de résistance at Cafe Stella is undeniably the food. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, showcasing the chef's dedication to traditional French cuisine. The Coq au Vin was a melt-in-your-mouth delight, and the Crème Brûlée dessert was a heavenly finale to our meal.
