For the 32 dollar family meal. The thighs could have cooked some more, they were fatty. The fries were over cooked and hard.

I pass by this place all the time. We’ve all seen the lil social media videos but I never see anybody in there and now I see why. So I’m gonna give the real review so we can finally set the record straight lol.
It Don’t even smell like chicken when you walk in or ever nearby. That was the first red flag.
Service was fine.
I got a 3 piece for about $10.
The fries were hot and fresh.
The chicken? Was not fresh at all.
I can say it was juicy. I can say it was seasoned. But
Visually you can tell the chicken isn’t fresh.
Chicken gets dark under the breading when you keep re-frying it or when it’s sat under the lamp for so long and that’s exactly how this chicken looks. You can also taste that it’s been re-fried it has this not fresh old grease flavor.
The flavor of the seasoning of it tastes just like a Louisiana fried chicken but just not as flavorful and not as fresh not as crispy crunchy.
If you have the ability to go to an actual Louisiana fried chicken, just go there. This is not it unless you have no options. You real hungry. Or you not driving.
Anybody in the reviews saying “this is the best fried chicken in LA” is funny cus they all look like they stay north of the 10 lol no hate. But that just makes sense why they would think it’s fire. As somebody who really from LAnd baby this is not it. Lol I totally get why nobody ever be in here now. there’s too many better options to be settling for this if you Don’t have to.

Best friend chicken in LA - most juicy, seasoned, fried chicken I’ve had in decades. Seriously great spot. And cops drive by while we picked up food so there’s for sure security

Great pricing, Great Chicken, and the homemade tartar sauce is a must try. The chicken is always fresh, the fish is excellent and the Gumbo, get it before it's all gone.

Great place to eat! The breading on the chicken is delicious and so are the fries. The customer service is outstanding too, I really appreciate how friendly and nice the cashier is!
