Came a few days ago to celebrate a birthday and the service sucked! I had arrived a little earlier than the rest of the party and had asked for a table for 7 and was told there would be a wait, which was fine. While I was waiting smaller parties of 3, 4 or 5 got seated relatively quick but to rub salt into the wounds they were tables sat next to each other which could've fit my parties size. We ended up waiting about 40 minutes and I waited about 10 alone. Once we were sat we probably waited another 10 minutes before we were asked about drinks. Going on past that, we had ordered our food and we ordered salads, pizzas and pastas, with the expectation that we can start off with the salads to encourage our appetite, we ended up getting all our food at the same time, leaving us with no space for our own separate plates so we ended up half using plates and the others using the pizza plates to eat pasta and salad. While eating, we had notice that the pasta was undercooked, terribly firm and had some extra chew to it, pizza was cold on the bottom and crust which goes to show that they put hot foods on cold plates, and the salad was warm. Over all I had a pretty negative experience at this location and don't think I'll be making a return to this restaurant.

At the California Pizza Kitchen in Brentwood, 11677 San Vicente Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90049, THEY GOT MY TAKE-OUT ORDER WRONG AFTER I SAID IT 5 TIMES! I LEFT EMPTY-HANDED!Previously...AN OLDER WOMAN KNEADING & STRETCHING PIZZA DOUGH THAT OPENLY TOUCHES HER TATTOOED ARMS! SHE WEARS BLUE KITCHEN GLOVES, BUT THAT IS IRRELEVANT AS THE PIZZA DOUGH IS ALL OVER HER BARE ARMS! DISGUSTING! I made the mistake of paying for my pizza made by her without asking her to cover her arms and make the pizza again. I did not finish eating the pizza, and threw the rest near a tree for animals to eat. MAKE YOUR PIZZA PREPARERS COVER THEIR ARMS, FOR GODSAKE!

We ordered a large original chopped salad (finally back on the menu) and the spaghetti bolognese. The salad was very good, but the pasta entree had changed. There was hardly any sauce and only a tiny bit of meat. This used to be really good! I asked for more bolognese and was told it would take 5 minutes. It was about 7pm and medium busy. Our server, Kimberly, came by and got the sauce immediately! But, it was just a bit of red sauce with hardly any visible meat. As we finished it, my husband realized that the entire portion was smaller. The plates with a very large rim are deceptive! Apparently others have had the same complaint. I say fake pasta bolognese! Then we ordered a sundae. Hardly any hot fudge. CPK is cutting corners. As a customer for decades, this is unacceptable. I can walk here, but will take my business elsewhere. The wine, cocktails and bread with window seat helped. Kimberly was hardworking and deserves better too!

Let's start off on a positive note, service was great. The waiter was kind and friendly. Now, onto the food, my pasta was extremely dry, they gave me a spoon with it.. who eats pasta with a spoon? Also, there was a puddle of pasta water beneath the dry pasta (it had no sauce). Yes, it was pasta water not oil to give it flavor. We also ordered a Margarita Pizza (not included in the photo) but when we got it it was soggy and still wet.. almost raw. We asked the server to take it back and if they could cook it for a little longer and he did he was very kind. The restaurant itself looks nice on the interior it is very aesthetically pleasing.

The most embarrassing, time wasting moment I ever. I met the waiter at curbside pick up and pay for my food. He tries to process my payment with the portable pay processor. The processor was not accepting my payment, the processor was not working. I had to walk 3 blocks to an ATM, I had to pay $3 for noncustomer ATM fee. When I returned with the cash to pay, I had to wait in a line for 15 minutes to pay cash for the food. I've been a patron of this location for years. I am not returning to location. It is doubtful that I will be returning to any CPK again.Parking: pay parking only on meter.
