Only have had Takeout from this place but I can say it's definitely solid for the price. If you order the lunch special it's enough for 2 people. It will come out to around 15 bucks so if you split it with someone it's about 7 dollars per plate since it comes with 2 portion sizes. Not the greatest, HOWEVER the bang for the buck and quality makes it more than worth it!

Very traditional old school Chinese restaurant that's been here for a long time. I live around the corner so I finally came to try it for lunch. The service was just fine, very common in China. Do not expect Americanized treatment. The food is okay but meats are little bit too soft and soggy. This is good for people with missing teeth. I prefer meat to have more texture. The flavors were good, maybe a little salty or too much MSG as I was very thirsty for the rest of the day. It reminds me of panda Express style food but even softer. Of course nothing beats my Chinese girlfriend cooking!

The food has no flavor. I ordered Chicken and Broccoli which came with steamed rice. Due to it being a $14 lunch special; I couldnt get fried rice. So I also ordered chicken fried rice. The chicken has no seasoning/flavor. Someone tell me where to get good food in LA?

I truly enjoy this restaurant. I have been a very happy diner for several decades. A friend introduced me to this casual and welcoming ? spot. Years before I began going to the VA Hospital for my medical care. Anytime I'm able to coordinate a Dr appointment with a good ? no fuss dining experience, This Is The First Place I Go.

I want to like this place, I really do. It's good Chinese food. However, the staff there will blatantly ignore you. As in, look up from her phone at you, then look back down at her phone and leave you standing there awkwardly wondering if she's going to seat you or not.I was willing to put up with that, but the last straw was the cockroach that ran across the table. It was a baby cockroach, which means there's a whole nest there. The waiter refused to even do anything about it, saying "it's too fast." So sadly I can't go back here ever again.

California Wok in Los Angeles is a hidden gem that has left me thoroughly impressed with its delectable Asian-inspired cuisine and quick, friendly service. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was in for a treat with the tantalizing aroma of wok-tossed dishes filling the air. Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food. California Wok's menu is a delightful celebration of fresh ingredients and bold flavors, offering a variety of Asian dishes that cater to every palate.

I love this place!.. The war-wonton soup is a good size, flavorful and loaded with tender chicken, vegetables and won tons. I haven't ventured through the menu too much - I just can't get enough of this soup! But I have also ordered a french beef dish which comes to the table in a full platter, tender and satisfying! The staf here are all very pleasant and you're served quickly.
