This use to be my go to spot for matcha but something change. The matcha just doesn’t hit anymore, it’s a little more grainy and milky. The matcha used to be soo good that before getting back to the office I would completely finish it. Now I take it in small sips because it’s not that good. Did the supplier change? The method? My co workers and I no longer come here for matcha anymore. The coffee is still good tho, and people are nice!

I got their silver lake latte! It was really good, the choco and hint of orange taste went really well with the coffee. Will definitely go back when I visit LA again.

I recently moved nearby and loved the matcha latte from Handles—it was my go-to spot because of its strong, bright green, high-quality matcha. But today, the color was a yellowish, muddy shade and much darker. When I asked, they said they switched to Rocky’s matcha, which should be bright green (I’ve had it at Community Goods). This version tasted different and was undrinkable, so I had to throw it away. Was so excited to have a go-to spit down the street from me. Very disappointed. Will not be returning. You can see a clear difference in the photos I posted.

Wasn't expecting such good coffee in East Hollywood/Sunset! And very cool venue - unusual pie-wedge shape, 2-stories, interesting geometric interior designs. Fast and friendly service. Street parking. Definitely return.

There’s not many places I can get the vegan cream top so I was super excited to try it and did not disappoint I got the matcha latte with the vegan cream. Finished it before I got back to my car. Can’t wait to try it again

We loved our visit to Camel this morning. I’ve been out of the city for a while and I’m happy to see such a unique shop pop up. It reminded me of Star Wars inside ? obviously desert themed. Super sick. Love the seating upstairs. But most importantly the staff were very pleasant and the coffee was so good. I love when everything works in unison at a shop like that. Perfect americano. The pastries are great also.

Staff is nice. finding parking sucks. sizes are hilariously small. Way too expensive even for LA. And worst of all … I watched them squirt a green syrup into milk when I ordered Matcha. Equivalent to serving instant coffee at a coffee shop.
