A beautiful, partially cloudy day is a perfect climate for this outdoors patio area restaurant. As soon as I arrived, I knew I'd feel the guilt of devouring this Fried Chicken sandwich that is so airy, due to all these runners and their dogs besides the park. The batter was light, chicken, absolutely moist. Like eating a chicken cloud is how I'd describe it. The slaw is on the side, so your sandwich isn't soggy. The added thick diced pickles under the sandwich is surprisingly different. The chips. I loved them so much, because it's not like a thin crispy chip, but also not like a potato skin. The variation of thicknesses is sublime. A crisp chip, a rubbery chip, a thick potato-y chip.

got the chili cheese fries $13 and the chicken quesadilla $13 and the fries were good and a very large portion as takeout. The problem i had was with the quesadilla as the chicken in it was very salty but im sure if it was made another time without as much salt, it would have been bomb. Great staff, great service and delicious burgers! I can't wait to go back!! I tried the Cargo burger and got an Oreo shake and fries and it did not disappoint. Nice hidden gem! Parking was also convenient.

I wasn't going to rate the food with any stars, cause it wouldn't be fair to critique/praise a department I didn't experience. I did do 4 stars there only because they did seem high in price, but I do understand why it would be. So, no hate here. It all looked and sounds fantastic though.Location - pretty cool. It's like, a shack made out of cargo units built into a historic park area (*never explored the area) where you can hang out and have a snack.Full disclosure: we ventured all the way there to take a yob opp so that I can go from unemployed to underemployed. Surviving a little longer means another chance to give this shack a visit and snack on their cargo.*Still in the ^FD- the reason I am writing about my experience at this establishment despite not really experiencing their food-service's purpose, serving their food; is because ( I am assuming he is the owner and/or big manager person. I didn't really think much of it at the time until I ready some reviews and their owner responses) as we were leaving the dining area to embark on the journey back to the hills at the foot of the mountains, we passed by a group of polo-shirted, cart driving men. One caught me off guard by thanking us for being there and to have a nice day, even though we both knew I was only there to freeload on the dining area, landmark location, and joyous moment a lizard walked up to me, did some push-ups then ran off.That was a lot. TL;DR: went for job thing, too broke to joke (about getting a milkshake), manager owner (maybe) was sincerely nice, made me wanna top rate and visit for food sometime less poor. ;)

Didn't have high expectations for this place but it exceeded my expectations. I thoroughly enjoyed the Blue Cheese Burger (it might have a different name). The customer service was great and ambiance was nice for a fresh Thursday in Cali. Highly recommend it! Thank you for the chips Cargo Snack! Delicious.$14

Food was great but service was horrible that day. I called to order and wait a few minutes before the guy who answered could give the phone to someone else to take my order. Then I spoke to a woman who was very passive aggressive it was actually kind of funny. I asked if I could order Fries instead of chips and she said "anything else?" I said "was that a yes or a no?" Then she said "The fries are $3 upcharge" I said okay that's is fine I definitely want fries. She said the chips come with the burger already for the price ($12) and $3 more for fries on the side. I said okay that's fine then she asked if I wanted anything else which I replied I don't want anything else except for the burger I ordered I want no sauce. She started to talk over before I even finished saying no sauce and so I asked if she even heard me? She said yes that she heard me and then asked when I would be there? I said I would be there in 2 minutes and asked what time the food would be be ready approximately. She said "Well I still have to put the order in so" and i said well obviously but how long does it usually take? Like damn is it busy maybe? I get these and there is was 1 person sitting at the tables eating no one in line.... I paid for my food and when I got it, what do you know there was sauce on the burger. I took it back and asked them to remake it and then paid for extra bacon to be added. I got my second burger and guess what, no bacon. Good thing I stayed to check the second time. They were so rude when I went back again like it was my fault. Even the guy sitting there eating was like "third time's a charm huh bro" ???? When I got back to the office to eat they didn't even give me the chips that were supposed to come with the burger....I would not go back even though the food was 8/10 the service was less than 1 star.

My first order from Cargo Snack Shack. I ordered through GrubHub. One cheeseburger and two hotdogs. The cheeseburger and hotdogs were good and still warm. Both came with potato chips. The chips were chewy, instead of crispy because they were put in the containers with hot food. I threw the chips in the trash. They also sent a teaspoon of coleslaw, which is laughable. I like my hotdogs with mustard and onions, but I could not make that selection through the app. I ordered two Cargo Dogs, which comes with beer cheese and pickled jalapeños. I'm so glad they put that nasty cheese on the side, that went in the trash with the chewy chips. Other than the things I mentioned I did like the cheeseburger and hotdogs they were good. Fortunately, I keep Sabrett Onions in Sauce and Sabrett Mustard on deck so I was able to hook my hotdogs up. I'm not sure if I would order from Cargo Snack Shack again because the price is too high for inedible potato chips and a teaspoon of coleslaw. I cannot comment on service and ambience because as I stated I ordered delivery through GrubHub.

We had the blue cheese burger and pulled pork sandwiches with corkscrew fries and coleslaw. Everything was made with fresh ingredients and very tasty. The service was great! The patio seating area was clean, shaded, and relaxing. Definitely going to back to taste some of the other delicious sounding items on the menu.
