Carmel simply has the best Middle Eastern food in the U.S. Great vibe, great crowd, great playlist and the best food...
First time to visit Carmel. And was incredible. They fit us in quickly on a Saturday night, the service was perfect and the dinner was excellent. A new favorite for sure.
Hunter made our meal here extra special and memorable. She's truly the best server we've come across in a very long time. A real gem! We will be back, yes because the food is delicious and fresh but mostly because of Hunter!
Very expensive for small dishes, but the food was amazing and we had many many fish dishes, and this was the first time that my son started being a pescatarian from a vegetarian- so this was perfect -
Absolutely perfect! Carmel Melrose is a Must DO restaurant. The food was exceptional, and the staff made us feel so welcome, invited and special. The ambiance at Carmel in Los Angeles is stunning—elegant yet cozy. A truly memorable dining experience!
we had a wonderful meal, with outstanding service. was there for thanksgiving dinner, actually. and it was a memorable one.
Carmel is definitely one of the finest restaurants in LA. We've eaten here several times in the last year and a half. The food is very creative and has amazing flavor and quality. We love the vib and ambience. Service and staff doesn't get better than this! Can't say enough good things about this gem!
This was our first time dining at this restaurant. We decided on trying two small bites two shareables, a pasta, and a main. Everything was OK considering we have had some of the same options at other restaurants where the flavors were richer. The welcome shot was unexpected and very delicious. The drinks were good as well and the service was pretty good.
Carmel staff were very warm and welcoming but the food options were I must say lacking. Especially the Grandmas Cigar. This was based on the personal preference of me I must say the beans and the dip did not bode well together in my opinion. The pasta however, was outstanding the 6 hour braised short rib was delicious but stay away from the red snapper, breading too salty.
It was fine, nothing super special. The pasta was fairly decent though and bar program is on point.

The food and atmosphere were very nice and pretty much exactly like it was a a previous restaurant with a few cosmetic changes. The food which was Middle Eastern/Israeli was generally fresh and tasty. The environment was hopping but for the price it was a bit expensive for Mediterranean food that flavors that were not so different at maybe less expensive restaurants. I think most people will enjoy it and the service was excellent. Just would have liked it to be a little more elevated for the price.
Best of the best of the best...best food, ambience, service and vibe in all of Los Angeles. 100 golden stars!!!!
It was a wonderful dinner. Unfortunately we had an allergy mishap but everyone was really sweet about it and made sure we were taken care of.
Wonderful birthday brunch here. The food was delicious and the atmosphere really lovely with the big windows in the rain.
