The food here is always solid. But the sound system is not good and therefore they have to blast the music from the back of the restaurant in order to reach the front of the restaurant and it's always a rough experience.

This is our favorite restaurant currently. The flavors are so much fun experience. The food is just god damn delicious. And the service is fabulous. Attention to detail from curating the timing of dishes coming out to keeping the water full. It's a beautiful space with fantastic food and drinks🤤🤤🤤

Great food, ok service, but way too loud. I don't usually mind loud music or restaurants, but this is like a nightclub even during brunch. We had to lean forward over the table and literally shout in order to hear each other, which definitely doesn't contribute to a good atmosphere. But if you don't mind being forced to yell during the whole meal, the food is worth checking out.

Our first time at this restaurant. Engaging, knowledgeable and attentive server. Delicious food, and we ordered a lot of dishes! Sadly, it was so noisy we couldn't hear one another without yelling which takes so much away from the experience. That said, it was packed on a Tuesday night, so I guess the noise isn't a problem for many diners.
I made a reservation for 3 people for my father's birthday on Feb 6th at 9:15 but came to the restaurant an hour early, at 8:15. We kindly asked to be accommodated beforehand but the hostesses made sure to not have our hopes up, we asked for updates in case something will change. We ended up at the bar waiting for our table and were ignored the entire hour. The host never approached us at 9:15 to sit us at a table despite saying she would do so. I came to ask for an update and whether we will be seated soon, she replied with "I hope". we patiently waited until 9:30, then I approached the hostess again. She then sat us in a couple's table even though we were three, in probably the worst location in the restaurant. (first table next to the hostess) When I asked for a bigger table for three, they said there was nothing that can be done and this is our table. When I complained about the lack of effort to sit us down prior to our reservation and the fact that we even waited for 15 minutes after our original reservation time and got a couple's table, we encountered deaf ears. We then left the restaurant. One of my worst experiences at a restaurant.

Carmel oozes Mediterranean flair from the moment you walk in. My friend and I had the hummus, Moroccan bread, smoked eggplant with feta brûlée, tuna tartare, and octopus shawarma. All of the dishes were the perfect size for sharing and very flavorful! My personal favorites were the bread, hummus and tuna tartare! They even have an aperitivo menu from 5:30p-7p, which is a great deal. My friend and I ate everything up with pleasure, so we were too full for dessert; although they all look so good! Service was efficient and friendly. Overall we had a lovely time at Carmel and highly recommend!

Loved our experience at Carmel! To start, the service was great...from valet, to hostess to our waitress to the owner, they were ALL so warm. One of the owners both greeted me upon my arrival and followed up on the experience after our meal. It wasn't pressure and he didn't have an angle it just felt like genuine conversation and care. Second, the food was as incredible as we had been told. We got the market bread, eggplant brûlée, crudo, artichoke pasta and skirt steak and everything hit the spot. It's one of those menus where you want to try it all so you indulge as much as you can. That being said, 10/10 would absolutely go back.
An Excellent restaurant with delicious food choices. Our server was great and was super helpful in guiding us on what to order. I highly recommend.
