Started off with the Caesar salad, then ravioli with bolognese sauce and chicken piccata. Finished with tiramisu. Everything was tasty.
Service was attentive and atmosphere was like going back in time in a good way.

The food is perfect Italian-American comfort served with class. Our server Nick, was attentive and provided us with everything we desired! The dirty martini is one of the best in LA and my personal favorite dishes are the baked Ziti and the pesto Pizza. The atmosphere is hard to find in LA; very romantic and elegant, elevated yet warm. 10/10

This was our first visit to Carmine's and we were delighted. The food was top notch, I had the veal milanese and it was the best I ever had.
I would highly recommend this place.

Had the Clam Linguini with white wine and it was very good. Our server was very attentive and described the specials with detail that I had to think twice about my selection. Will be back.

Ordered takeout from Carmine’s on Santa Monica Blvd. I got the chicken parm, toasted ravioli, and tiramisu. The sauce on the chicken parm was solid, had that classic Italian-American flavor I had the spicy version, but the chicken itself was dry and overcooked.
The toasted ravioli weren’t greasy, which was good, but they didn’t have much flavor. Tasted like something straight from a frozen bag. Definitely wouldn’t order them again.
The tiramisu was excellent. Creamy, rich, and probably the only part of the meal I’d go out of my way to get again.
Not a bad place if you’re nearby and want something familiar, but it didn’t blow me away. Just okay.

Negative is that they totally screwed up the separate checks, which we had requested in advance as one couple had a corkage fee. Instead of simply correcting the error, the manager made it our fault for requesting separate. Won't go back.

WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL place!!! The bartender was great and attentive. The super cute waitresses had fun personality and were quick with everything, ha. They playfully banter with the 75+ year old patrons. I love the owner, who I just met last night. Genuine, lovely lady. I lived in downtown Chicago for 23 years and love this place as much as Gibsons and Topo Gigio in that city.
Parking: There was a lot. I ubered.
Kid-friendliness: Had a 12 year old and 14 year old with us and they liked it

This is an old school style restaurant similar to the original Palm restaurant. The menu is very heavy on pasta and pizza. They have daily specials that sound delicious but they are reliant on pasta as a part of the presentation. As I can’t have pasta unless it’s organic I can’t comment on them first hand. Everyone else at our table had such dishes and loved them. I had the Chicken Diablo and it was fantastic. The restaurant has a lot of surfaces that deaden sound which is a great thing. I didn’t give them 5 stars because the restaurant and the menu seem dated.

Not nearly as good as it seems it should be. Feels like an old school, Hollywood Italian joint that will have great food and interesting ambiance. Instead, service was scarce and if a manager hadn't helped out, we might still be waiting. Sure, they were quite busy, but they had staff and should know how to handle it. Food was average and it's hard for Italian food to be average. And way too pricey for what it is..
