Food: The meat is moist, tender and flavorful. Authentic Michoacan style slow cook pork. If you love pork, this is the place to be. I highly recommend the mix carnitas since you get a little of everything. I also love the lengua, pork skins, and buche - the stomach. Portion size is very generous, each order is fully loaded. Service was friendly, and they give you bite size sample while you wait of if you can't decide what to get. You can sit at the bar but plenty of tables...
Totally Bare, nude and seriously first place where just a tortilla and the topping is enough it's ridiculously good. The skill of cooking pork skin, pork tongue and all the parts people dont eat. I'm chinese we eat all of these and haven't found anywhere who can cook it better than we can. It's here. Seriously i ate my taco bare no sauce - The pork skin was juicy but not wet, so tasty with hidden depths in every bite. The tongue and every other parts you buy...
Before leaving LA I wanted to try some local street food and ran into Grand Central Market where, after a couple of circles around the place, chose these guys to have a burrito. They immediately gave me a small tortilla with mixed meats to try. Amazing! Here you choose your wrapping and select what meat parts you want in it + herbs, onions, beans and rice. The meat is boiled just here in huge pots and displayed to customers. Lovely! Just maybe not too healthy...
