Came to this place with my sister to try out their food. Our turn came to order & while ordering I asked the cashier if their menu was Halal to which he replied saying their burgers are halal then asked him if he has some sort of certificate or proof to verify that & he said that he can show me their packaging in which they have their meat/chicken marked as halal. Later the cashier came out with who I assume was the owner/manager who came asking us what he can help us with, explained to him the situation & he was showing some slight attitude & just seem like he didn’t want to show us the proof that their food is halal saying with his words only that he guarantees the food is halal he then says that he will take a picture of the packaging & show it to us to which both me & my sister agreed on. He took the pic came back showed us the halal logo on it saying with sarcasm & attitude but still keeping a smile “is this good enough for you” which I found very rude of him to say because me being a Muslim customer I need that relief & reassurance that what I’m eating is halal but it just seem to be a problem for him. After the owner left I had given my order & was waiting for my food when my sister was leaning on the glass counter which we didn’t think would be an issue. The owner comes back out & sees my sister leaning on that same counter & rudely tells her to not lean on it. He could’ve said it in a much nicer & polite way because it’s not like we knew she wasn’t supposed to do that. Our order came we sat down & a few minutes later the cashier is walking around asking other customers if they needed anything else & did not bother asking us. Customer service very bad owner/manager very rude & unprofessional. Do not plan on coming back here.

Just got a $8 strawberry matcha and its really not good. Watery barely tasted like anything with globs of strawberry on the bottom. Staff was also not really friendly, was relatively empty 3-4 people behind the counter not doing much all with faces like theyd rather be anywhere other than there. Wont return.

cute cafe in a GREAT location ! unfortunately , may not be for me when I saw that I was up-charged $1.25 for coconut milk without notice while placing order , as I could’ve easily had any other plant-based milk substitute (or are they all an additional dollar-twenty-five??) ..idk e-receipt caught me off guard , wasn’t what I was expecting from displayed menu prices .. also , FIVE bucks for a plain butter croissant ?! …yeah , this is definitely not a daily stop café , not for my current tax bracket at least , haha . the baristas behind the counter were pleasant though ! (the only reason that I gave “service” 3 stars is b/c transparency in pricing is important .

I stumbled upon such a hidden gem of a café I hadn’t known about before. The staff were genuinely kind, and the atmosphere was calm and inviting. They even offer the option to print any logo you want on your coffee or matcha for just three dollars extra, which is such a fun touch. The sandwich was fresh and paired nicely with the side salad. It’s a great place to get work done or meet a friend—clean, convenient, and well-organized. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

Carrera Cafe on Melrose is a great spot for coffee and people-watching. I ordered an iced latte, and it came out really good smooth and flavorful. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. My only concern is about their can-style drink cups; they look cool but tend to leak a bit from the top, which can get messy. Overall, though, it’s a solid cafe with good vibes and quality drinks.
This place is a gem! The food is always delicious, everything is prepared super quickly, and the custom latte art is out of this world. Seriously — the designs are so cute and detailed, they make my day every time. I’m obsessed! Highly recommend if you love great taste and a touch of creativity in your coffee.
