I did not enjoy any o f the food I ordered. I had smothered pork chop, greens, and mac & cheese. The best thing on the plate was the macaroni. The young lady at the counter was trying to be nice butcyou could tell that she was tired of asking questions. It was my first and last visit.

Chef Marilyn is an Amazing person And she cooks from the ❤️ Her delicious food will make u come back for more , I Love everything on the menu . I absolutely loved the catfish, the baked chicken, the yams (OMG). I also loved the brisket, the rice/beans. Chef Marilyn has been in Los Angeles since 1989 and I see why. Her personality and food will touch you. She is so sweet and always smiling when I visit the restaurant. ☺️❤️

Being from the South, I have to give this place 2-3 stars on the southern cuisine. I do not recommend getting the fried chicken as it was kinda fatty and undercooked. The Mac & cheese was a letdown as well no real flavor. But on the flip side, the collard greens were very good so that’s my recommendation if you decide to try them.

The short ribs, spinach, collard greens, black eye peas,candy yams, and mashed potatoes was Bang'n!! I good the smothered porkchop as well but haven't tried it yet.

I had to leave a review after being meeting Tamika (I hope I spelled her name correctly). She has a humorous personality and provided exceptional customer service! I wasn’t having the best day and on top of that I was hungry. Glad I stopped by because I ended leaving feeling much better. And I almost forgot to mention, the food is delicious!

Tamea had great customer service. She was the only one serving food and didn’t spectacularly. She recognized her Kings and Queens and called everyone as such. Portions were great and service was even better.

I purchased lunch and dinner for $82.00 dollars and had it delivered. I received only a few items that I purchased.

It amazed me that this restaurant could be so incompetent to send at best 20% of my order.

The food items looked nothing like what I saw on the website.

The fish and chicken wings pieces were super small, and they slopped all the sides in 1 container. It was a mess.

I called Chef Marilyn, and when I explained the situation, the lady who answered the phone was dismissive and had a major attitude.

She said she'd give me a refund and hanged up the phone.

I canceled through Door Dash. I will never patronize this restaurant again.

They have the best meatloaf I've been able to find in Los Angeles.
They have a turkey version as well.
Everything is up front buffet style.

I love this place! The staff is wonderful and the food was great. I recommend the excellent mac and cheese and the greens. Of course, the fried chicken looked really good, but my mom recommends the catfish.
