Went to chifa for my moms bday. The food was very good and flavorful but was kind of annoyed that we got sat outside. Was not aware that was going to be the case. I made reservations there because of how cute the restaurant was. But other than that we enjoyed everything except the pickles. NOT what we were expecting. Kind of tasted like chemicals, to be honest. Would not order that again.

Excellent food and service. The decor is eye-catching and heart motif fun. The seats didn't exactly match with table, as we were seated pitch forward and we were seated a little too low. The steamed sea bass and the okra are newly added items and totally scrumptious. Our tongues are still tingling from the heat.

Got to try this place after hearing about it through various outlets. It's situated in a bit of an odd location but I was able to find parking just fine off Lincoln. The staff was super nice and friendly and the vibe and decor was chic and trendy. We ordered the short ribs, lomo saltado, si yao chicken and veggies (more on this later) plus a side of garlic rice The food was awesome with my favorite being the chicken which reminded me a bit of duck. Short ribs were good as well and were my niece and nephews favorite but I found it to be a bit on the sweet side. The lomo saltado was good, grilled pieces of filet mignon and were super tender - definitely recommend a side of the aji sauce! Fries were nice and crispy as well Unfortunately they forgot about or veggies so we ended up cancelling the order but we already had plenty of food so wasn't too sad. Ended the dinner by sharing a black sesame brownie for the table. Tasted mostly like a brownie and didn't really get any hints of black sesame. Still super rich and delicious though! Definitely stop in if you're in the eagle rock area!

Love this place. We sat inside and the decoration is beautiful, you can tell they really spent time hand picking the style of even the cutlery to match everything, the look is really cohesive throughout. This was my third time visiting and everything we ordered was delicious. We ordered pollo a la brasa, garlic rice and dan dan noodles. They were all solid choices and the pollo a la brasa was a generous portion enough for 2-3 people easily. We got alfajores for dessert which were amazing and a personal favorite. The service was great, the servers were really attentive and conversational, no complaints there. Overall I would really recommend this place and I would go back anytime.

What a cute restaurant in ER. We went for Sunday dimsum and everything we had were just delectable. Definitely we will have to try the regular menu

We stopped in for dinner on Saturday night and were excited to dive into the Cantonese-Peruvian menu here at Chifa. We ordered a couple of vegetable dishes and a lot of meat/seafood. Some of the highlights were the prawns, the chicken, the lomo saltado (although the fries could have used salt and we wished that it had came with the aji sauce by default as you had to order and pay for a side) and the cauliflower dish. Lowlights include the brulee char siu and dessert. The char siu was not salty enough and I'm a big fan of char, but this was definitely more on the burnt side. I also wished the meat had been cooked a little longer as it had a bit too much chew for my liking. Both desserts we had were a huge miss. The alfajores did not have nearly enough dulce de leche which left them dry flavorless and the black sesame cheesecake was rock hard also without much flavor. We would not have even known it was supposed to be a cheesecake if the name hadn't been on the menu. The service was friendly and attentive and while we didn't sit in the dining room (we sat outside) it had a nice ambiance and vibe.

Really disappointed in this spot and i'm super bummed because i live around the corner and was really looking forward to coming here for a while. Our food came out under cooked and the rest was just ok. No one came to check on us and we had to call someone over to send food back. We would have ordered more drinks / dessert but we were over it with no one really giving us the time of day. They didn't do anything to make it right that they sent us inedible/raw fish. Such a bummer!

Great service and atmosphere! We loved our server and how they helped us pick dishes that pair well together as well as how knowledgeable they were on the menu. We enjoyed the char siu with the marinated Serrano sauce & the cucumber woodear mushroom salad.Dietary restrictions: According to their menu it seems many dishes can be made vegan or vegetarian.

After seeing so many delicious photos and reviews, I had to come and check out this Cantonese -Peruvian restaurant. We opted to sit outside since indoors seemed a bit stuffy. They have heaters and a tent. It was a chilly winter night and we felt warm so it worked out nicely. Our server was great! Very attentive and patient in explaining the menu to us. Now let's talk about the food! We ordered the Chinese fries to start. There wasn't anything special about them and for the price, I recommend you get regular fries or skip it entirely. The braised ribs were SOOOOOO darn delicious. They were sticky, juicy, fall off the bone soft and flavorful. Next up was the mariscos saltado. It had a slow kick to it. It was tasty and the portions of seafood and onions were generous. The garlic rice is definitely recommended to pair with any dish. The creme brûlée char siu was fatty, juicy, sticky and small. It's smaller than you would image, maybe a quarter pound of meat? It was great to try once, but it is on the pricier side. I imagined it would be pipping warm given the caramelized crust, but it was served lukewarm. Lastly is the sesame cheesecake tart that many reviewers were raving about! Unfortunately I didn't enjoy it as much. I love sesame, but I felt the crust of the tart was really tough and the cheesecake was too thick. If you're into dense sesame flavored desserts, this would be your jam. Overall I would come back to try their other dishes. Out of our order, the garlic rice and the ribs were what I would order again. Bon appetit yelpers!

Sunday dim sum was good, but not enough choice to order. Some dishes were out of stock, although they had just opened. Dog friendly patio is awesome.
